if you drink/eat a lot of dairy products, cut down/stop completely...milk, yoghurts, ice cream etc...do this for a week - 2 weeks n see if there's an improvement.
This is more commonly known in Asia, don't think it's accepted in N. America or Europe. but try it.

Also, a GP told me Acne is caused by testosterone reacting with bacteria in your body.

rule #1. keep stuff off your face(took me a like half a year to figure out new era fitteds make my forehead break out

rule #2.wash your face at least twice a day

unfortunately after that all you can do is experiment with different acne products :( which sucks because your not sopposed to use too many at once so try to narrow down the search as much as possible.

LISTEN TO ME!!!

I had the worst fucking acne from the age of 15 and lasted till i was about 18 an i mean seriosly intense stuff that shot down my confidence and grinded it into the ground, and not to mention it was physically painful.

I was soooo desperate i tried everything!!! but i also spent every moment i had researching the functions of the body and what the actual chemical bodily functions were that caused acne. I became a fucking expert in anatomy and fuctions of the body just to rid myself of acne!!!

It doesnt always matter what you eat, i mean you always see people with flawless skin totally stuffin their face with sugary junk food, although i did watch wat i ate and cut out milk.

About 95% of medications for acne wil not treat the root of the problem but rather just "patch" it up. because acne is not a skin condition!.

What causes acne is the fact that if your body is unable to effectively excrete toxins through and out of your digestive tract the natural way, then it passes the toxins onto the next excratory organ which is the skin, thus creating toxin build up which eventualy becomes infected and walla you get acne.

What eventually worked for me after everything you can think of, (except those harsh prescription drugs coz they jst seriosly fuck your body up), was that i was taken to a naturopath who gave me this detox shit to drink it tasted like absolute crap, imagine bitter muddy water with herbs n shit, it made me go to to da bathroom like 8 times a day evrything just passed straight through me sorta like a laxative....... but it worked coz it totally cleaned out my system and my acne completely cleared up over a coupl of months.

now my skin is totally clear and i've never looked back, so do abit of research on the net urself, and get somethin that will clean out your system of the toxin build up.

dam i heard rumors about laxatives being a good idea because it cleans out ur system and blah blah blah but for people who have places to be the next day.........

Surprised not a lot of people have mentioned this but ProActive is amazing.

I've tried a buncha different stuff. I even tried to try dermatologist's' prescription pills and face wash....forget it, Proactive worked way better.

Another thing, don't wash your face 3 times a day as stated above, especially with proactive because it's really not necessary...your face needs a little oil to maintain skin balance. If you wash several times a day, your skin will work harder to maintain balance and make more oil faster and you'll get more zits.

Accutane. It's super serious and causes 6 months of game killing but if you're really sick of acne and it's getting bad then this will CURE it. I took it a couple summers ago and the worst I've gotten was a couple whiteheads at once that cleared up real fast. It's pretty extreme though and if your acne isn't too bad you might have trouble getting a prescription for it but if you really want your acne gone for good it's the solution.

I've found that tanning helps dramatically with my acne. Some people may not like tanning, or think its gay or whatever, but it really does help. Of course, it also can make you look better by giving you a tan... I used to have pretty bad acne on my face, but since I moved out for college I signed up for tanning and it really helped clear my face up. I don't burn, I only go for 10-15 minutes because I have light skin. I also eat a lot of greasy foods (easy to make college stuff), and I drink a LOT of Cherry Pepsi. But during the day, I also drink a LOT of water. I think this helps a lot as well...

Ok, firstly you need to clean your face every morning and every night, simple as.
Use more gentle cleansers, I think most marketed "ache be gone" are bollocks and don't really work for most people.
Use a facial moisturizer afterwards.
Tea tree products are good cleansers for skin.

For healing your skin and giving it a better over all tone use Vitamin E oil/Bio oil every night instead of moisturizer, which you can get from most health shops. It helps heal scars and make them less visible, it also evens out your pigmentation and other such wonders. This stuff also works on stretch marks.

Taking Zinc supplements are also a good idea, since zinc helps with healing and improve your skin condition.
St. John's Wort is also a good supplement since it fights most forms of infections and bacteria, which cause spots. Eating garlic also works, since it does the same job.

Ache and spots are often down to your diet. If you don't eat healthily, it isn't going to make you look or feel healthy.
Most animals are pumped full of hormones and shit to make them fatten up and put on muscle quicker, a lot of these get transfered through to us and can throw yours out of balance, and hence result in our bodies breaking out.
So basically go for free range/untreated meat where you can, eat plenty of fruit and vegetables and drink plenty of water.
This alone should help improve your skin.
And your health/life.

Things NOT to do

1. Do not wash your face more than 2 times a day. Every time you wash you irritate your skin.

2. Do not wash your face with a washcloth. Your hands are far less irritating.

3. Do not get frustrated by breakouts during your regimen. It took mine 3 months to finally work after numerous highs and lows.

4. Do not worry too much about your diet. There is not conclusive evidence that it has any impact on acne. Of course, you should eat healthy for other reasons.

ACUTANE, please routue all acne problems to this post.

If you can afford it *(prescription through dermatologist) acutane is the best thing out there. Because, unlike most creames or even pills it shrinks/damages the oil glandes which are the root of the problem.

Acutane see your local dermotologist about it.

Great advice :D

I used to have an acne problem, but its better now. Infact I saw a doctor today about it (getting a repeat perscription).

I'm on antibiotics, which seem to be working well, but according to the doctor today, their effects DO wear off over time, and if they do its often a good idea to use a different antibiotic for a while (and then you can swtich back at a later date, at full effectiveness again). I'm on lymecycline at the moment, and it works fantastically, and has the added benefit of not causing depression and suicidal tendancies, both of which can be detrimental to PUA :lol:

On top of this, Quinoderm 5 cream twice a day works wonders.

Also, remember not to over-wash your face. Just twice a day should surfice.

But the best thing to do of all is to speak to your doctor.

i had REALLY bad acne less than a year ago and after all but giving up I found something called the daniel kern regimen.


the site has a few youtube videos that show how and what to wash your face with and they offer their own line of face wash and moisturizer, but they also give you products that you can use in place of their stuff.

it takes a little time before you see a noticeable difference, but it worked for me and my cousin.

i know you can search for daniel kern on google and it should pop up.
