Though, now that I'm going to go out more and really put in some effort to pick up girls, I'm going to change my daily style to match my going out style.

Always buy jeans that fit your legs right.i suggest topman,they have a jeans section that tells you about what kind of style certain jeans are for and how they fit.
In the case of trainers i've been wearing hi tops for years,they go perfect with fitted jeans,Nike Air Force ones and supra shoes are the good choice,i don't wear any other brands.
Good trainers(sneakers) are a must if you decide to wear them with jeans,another thing is that your belt should always match the colour of your shoes.
On another thread i read someone saying polo shirts are not good.A Fred Perry polo shirt is fine in my opinion.and if you want to peacock wear braces with them while wearing jeans.when i'm out girls always twang my braces.
It's nice to be twanged actually.
