For example, let' say you were a Hip Hop artist, with videos, TV interviews and all that shit that you could send for a girl to check.
How would you use that in your favor to sarge online let's say in Facebook... cause something like that could be really used to put you in a special place, you dig me?

Drop some knowledgeee

yassay oh yes i dig you. musician game is the reason i went so long without any other type of game. it's the napoleon dynamite theory right? girls want guys with cool skills. and musician is a cool skill as long as you're not just in your bedroom playing scales or making weak beats with sub-pro software.

Dude pimp your facebook out w/a track or 2 that you produced. The problem for the musician is talking the talk but not delivering. If you have videos and interviews, you need to work that in there so it's readily apparent, but you're not saying 'hey babe look at this'. One of my old techniques was if the girl didn't know me, I'd say sorry I can't see you on whatever day because I'm rehearsing w/my band, jamming with someone, collaborating. This may or may not have been true at the time. Didn't matter cuz i had proof of my artistic labors to back it up. instant allure. if you've got a local following, releases etc - create a fan/band page - not just a personal profile. band page = allure no matter how small potatoes you are in the music world.

Personally, I'd say the best way to use your music is as a bridge to offline.

Online flirting is easy and fun, but you've got to give her an incentive to switch to a RL meet and you've got to do it reasonably quick before you both get tired of the IM game. Instead of ham-handedly smashing her over the head with your music early on when you DON'T need it to get a conversation started, save it for a week then invite her to come see you perform, rehearse or record. These sorts of cool activities for a firm date work great because it's something she actually wants to do and you're giving her an opportunity. The same would work for other cool activities, like climbing, kayaking, fishing, meeting famous people.... you can overcome the natural hesitation to agreeing to a RL meeting by combining her little bit of interest in meeting you with her 'always wanted to do that' and it becomes an overwhelming yes really fast, plus coming to watch your band record feels safer than "come and hang out alone with me" because it might NOT be a date since there will be other people there....

Matt

I'm a musician. Just play shows. Chicks ALWAYS come up to me after a show. It's obviously the performance cause they don't come up to me in person at other occasions (well rarely).
