I spent the past hour reading random posts and I got an alarming impression: Everyone seems to be focussing on details. All these tiny categories, people trying to fix small issues like their voice, their posture, the way they dress etc.
They're all obsessed with small fractions of the whole thing and I can say from my own experience that that distracts you from actually making progress.

On the other hand I remember reading about "being in the zone" all the time which is a completely different, maybe the opposite view on things. But strangely noone ever seemed to make an effort to find ways into that state!
I very rarely am in the zone myself but the little experience I have with it definitely includes not caring about my voice, my posture, my clothes and all that shit and as far as I can remember noone else did either because being in the zone made me so awesome, none of these features were important enough to make a difference in the way people perceived me!
So shouldnt we rather make a science out of getting into the zone instead of working on all these seperate attempts to better our lives?

Questions to be answered could be: Is it possible to reach longer, or even deeper states of being in the zone? Can we learn to stay closer to it (the "zone") or do we have to train the "getting into" it? I could go on and on but I don't even know if "in the zone" is a good expression for what I actually mean so I'll just stop right here. Discuss!
