I am a waiter/bartender and new to the game, so does anyone out there have any ideas of good openers I could use on some HB's that I come across while I am working? Without seeming like I am just being polite because it's my job.

just an idea, wait till the target orders her drink and say something along the lines of this

HB: Ill have a weller and water

you: thats just what "plug in a celebrities name here" likes

HB: really

you: no but now that i have your attention could you tell me what made you want a weller and water? do you prefer hard liquor over beer?

maybe try something like that, i hope that helps
