Just trying to get a few tips/examples on what you guys do after you open a set....

pua: hi/ who are you guys? / whatever...

hb: hi/ bla bla

pua: (then what do you guys typicallydo)

I have trouble thinking clearly. I usually forget to lock in, then i ask typical questions like im interviewing her. On the outside I know i look calm, but in the inside im a ball of nerves.
what do you guys usually directly after opening?

Wish I could give you an answer dude. I'm pretty new at this too and it's the age old question for me as well!

Some sets open fine when you have a common interest and have met through a mutual friend but cold opening as I call it, when you just walk up to a random HB just doesn't hook.

First thing is practice. Secondly what I'm always conscious of is, is to present good body language.

Those are the only tips I can give you but I'm sure there are others on here that can tell you what their tips are and provide some good material to transition too!

Hi, hey, how are u? These are all direct openers. So if ur goin to use a direct opener u can continue by askin an opinion question or just transition into any other topic that ur comfortable with.

hb: hi
pua: how are u?
Hb: I'm doin good, thanks
pua: oh dat was rude ( do dis with a friendly smirk)
(whole purpose of this line is to neg the hb so dat u can keep the convo goin)
hb: I'm sorry, wat r u talkin about?
Pua: well where I'm frm, it's alwys courteous to b concerned about a person's day and usually the person bein question'd would ask the questioner the same in return.
Hb: well ur kinda rite, I'm sorry how's ur day goin?
Pua: well my day was fine until I saw this hb, and I greeted her to c how nice o a smile she has... ( leave it open ended to c if she catches on and tries to qualify herself)

that's just a simple example of how u can take it. Dnt b scared to make stuff up. Hope this made sense. I myself don't usually use direct openers I like indirect and opinion openers
