There are two girls that are sitting completely at the other side of the second cup (read Canadian Starbucks) right now. They are very much my type, however there is a 40% chance they are two young. Mixed sets are my favorite, I wrote this same story in a different post a few days ago but ill repeat myself.

• Last week I opened a mixed set (2 girls one guy) opened the group in general, body language facing the guy, and engaged him more then the girls. All three were nice friendly people, and I popped the key question "How do you guys know each other?" the guy was dating one of the girls. That's fine, I continued with whatever.
  The conversation really hit a high point, and when this happens significantly into set, I like eject and leave on a high note. But a good move otherwise would be to isolate the non-gf.
  I said "I have to go over there,, but I'll see you around" (I already had them laughing so this worked nicely. It can sound terrible if delivered the wrong way) waved to the girls and shook the guy's hand, and left.
  
  A few minutes later, the guy and his gf came up to me and started to say how awesome their friend is, and asking me isn't she cool n sexy, and that I "should go for it."

See what happened there? They just became 100x more valuable to me than the best wing in the world could ever be. They came over and started to qualify their friend to me! You can just imagine what the conversation was like between the three of them when I left: "What a awesome guy, he's so nice and cool, I wish more people were like him"

Now look at this through the eyes of the target: her friends are saying good things about me which equals social proof/value/acceptance/PUSH

You know how that night ended =P


Moral of the story: I saw the three of them a few times here and there before my reopen later in the night, and you know what? they were always alone, the three of them, every guy in the club was intimidated by the guy in the set and no one was opening them.

Key points:

- Open and address the group and/or the guy. Basically think of the guy as your wing, and treat him as such.
- By winning over the guy, you win over the girls. Don't look up to him (and lower yourself) or try to blow him out, treat him as an equal.
