| Hey there donehell, man I totally hear where your coming from bro, and, no, you're not being negative at all...great post bud.
I love TD, but sometimes he goes really deep into things, which is still good, in my opinion, for the more advanced guys that are prepared to talk on that sort of level. Honestly, I was in your shoes just like a month ago...I had been reading, watching, and especially browsing the forum on RSDnation, and I was like thinking, what the F*** are these guys talking about...."Lording the Club", "Going into State", blah, blah, jargon etc. Well, only after reading "The Power of Now," did I understand it completely on that passionate level that TD does. Now, there is defiantly different intensities of "state." Basically, state is just getting outside of the control of your sub-conscious (externally conditioned mind) and being in the moment to the point where your not worried about what happened yesterday, and you're not looking ahead to the future, all that you have is the f**king moment in front of you.
You talked about meditating and boxing, awesome, so, you have been there. It's that simple, the zone you get in is all he's talking about. Like I said, there is just different intensities to it, that’s all. I love working out, running, and meditating, as well, these are my ways of getting away from the fast pace, mind raided world.
As far as making state or "being in the moment" fully intact, well, my friend, in this day and age, it would take a lot of work. Eckhart Tolle talks, in his book, about how much better of a place the world would be if everyone lived in the moment and only used there minds as the tool it's suppose to be. I hope you found this a little bit helpful man. I'm no expert I just shared my opinion, and my way of expressing what works for me. Recommend that everyone read the "Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle for the real understanding, because I consider myself a total newbie, not someone who should be trying to teach.
