A quick background on myself:

21 years old
in college
familiar with the community for almost 2 years but never really indulged

What more needs said?

So the night starts out with my picking up my friends from work (she cant drive and gives me like $20 to do it so heck yes! lol) and then going to her apartment and chilling out. She gets a call from one of her friends about going to a bar and listening to an 80's cover band, so I'm in.

Well the girl who invited us (hb5) came and picked us up. It was just her my friend and I in the car with 2 cars following us. When we get to the bar we get introduced to everyone. A couple guys and an hb6, an hb7, and an hb9 (also my target if you couldn't gather that! ). Well we are being introduced to one another in a rushed manner and then make our way into the bar. I'm the 3rd one through the door and as soon as I'm in i leave the group and head straight for the bar. I open us the set right next to me just so i could talk while waiting on my drink. After I get my drink I head over to the rest of the group again.

They way it worked out was my friend was at a tall table situating my target directly to my left. For the sake of not making this post go on forever, it was here that I first opened my target. She had an iPhone and I have a BB Storm, so I gave her shit about how my phone is better! (Yes i know the iPhone is better!) I think I said something like "My phone totally transforms into Optimus Prime and eats your phone for breakfast, [pause] with out any milk." At this point I begin friendly kino with her (i.e., using the back of my hand to slap her on the leg to emphasize a point, or gently pushes on the shoulder when she says something clever). This will be carried out the rest of the night with everyone at the party.
My pit-falls here:
-looking back now I realized that was leaning in to everyone instead of leaning back.
My situation pros:
-I did make everyone laugh and was considered the center-of-attention for our side group.
-I was creating interest in my target. I recieved IoI's from here that include keeping eye contact, and scratching her wrist.

At this point we leave the bar to pick up some alcohol and party supplies. This is where we get cups and balls for beer pong and I buy candy necklaces (something I felt that I really didnt get the chance to develop and will be using in field more often in the future) and some filet-o-fish sandwiches!!! ha ha If you were wondering where i got the title of this post you just found out and can stop reading now...your work here is done!

We go back to the party spot and wait/ set up while waiting for everyone to get there. Once everyone does get there I begin building my social proof. I know I successfully became alpha because everyone at the party told me so several times over. "dude, your awesome." "Hey, [my name] is awesome I can't believe we have never hung out with them before." and very similar things all night. Everyone was saying this except for my target and (enter stage left) the new addition Hb 8. I wasnt worried about those two because I wanted to convey a tribal leader mentality to everyone here.

Anyways the details go playing beer pong where I and my partner beat both my target and Hb 8. During this time I put in some playful teasing and fun fluff talk. They left into a back room after the game. I played through another game and then went in and joined them.

There was no where to sit! So I stood and didnt like that at all! What do the masses think? Sit on the floor next time or just leave?

So I run a gambit talking about my little brother (5 years old) plucking a guitar and singing twinkle twinkle little star and how it melted my heart! Trying to show a willingness to emote and might try to incorporate this gambit into my game some more.

My target leaves so I switched gears onto Hb 8. I ran some compliance test that she responded positivly to. Other ioi's I recieved were keeping eye contact, body positioning towards me, and at somepoint we interlaced our hands and I squeezed and she squeezed back. Later that night she took me home since I was driven there. I tried to build rapport that she didnt seem like she was having it ( I feel like something had gone awry towards the end of the party that I wasnt aware of and will continue to try and figure out). So as I go to exit and look at her and say "So is this how you want to end the night?" she looks confused and I said "Is this how you want this to end between me and you?" and once again she seemed confused and said yea. I was trying to get a number but I think it wasnt going to work no matter what I said. Next time however I am going to try to end that with "Well, our conversation here was quite enjoyable, how are we going to keep it going?"
Any other suggestions here would be great.
