Recently, it has actually happened a few times to me, I give a girl a smile obviously flirting and then she gives a half smile back and a "WTF did he want, ild never do him" look after once she passed me.

Now the thing is, it so happened that i ended up talking to the same girl later because i met her through friends

acting cocky funny (we were drunk too) i mentioned this, and she didnt know what I was talking about, she actually said that when she is walking through the club she dosent scope out for potential guys because she knows alot of guys look at her anyway, she said it is like she is on "auto-pilot" just to get to the place in the club where all her friends are and once in location, that is when her and her friends do all their perving

This ended up a Kclose for me this last time it happened

So guys if you get a WTF look just take note of the situation- remember the girl might actually really be giving you a WTF look too though-
which is more likely to be one if she is comfortable sitting with her friends not walking around nervous of people watching her.

i know of quiet a few girls that get intimidated walking in a club alone, hence, why they usually walk in groups- looking at it from their perspective they walk through the club alone and guys are looking at her from everywhere, guys grab her, make comments at her, especially if she is alone she feels less safe and vunerable

To be honest I think you first problem there is that you smiled at her. Sounds stupid but you have instantly given her a signal of attraction, most women will smile back out of courtesy and probably dont even know they are doing it which is why it comes across as a WTF smile!

Before you open a woman/set I dont think there should be any interaction, a simply case of smiling at the woman can blow the set out before it has begun because firstly your Social status has just been lowered and secondly you have potrayed the fact that you see her as a potential mate.

And yeah it is another bitch shield well shield the bitch persona is not a true reflection of her it is just effective. The reason why women dont like guys looking at them is becuase it is threatening imagine if you were in a club and a bunuch of guys were staring at you, you would instinctvly go into protection mode and feel threatened this is how she feels the less contact visually before opening the set the better

hey joker im going to have to disagree with you, first of all the smile was not an attempted open it was a smile flirty yes but kind, which you almost imply is a negative thing giving the woman social power over you?? The point of this thread was to show that she was in autopilot mode and does not even consciously register these details, if you say my smile lowered my social rank i better be prepared to be at the bottom of the foodchain when i k close her again

The autopilot thing is probably correct.

She wasnt in the mood for talking right then and she just registered, guy, smile, not now.

Its nothing personal. She will have time later and when she feels like it she will be open for approaching.

Its not about the smile being an attempt to open its the language/impression you are giving off obviously smiling is an everyday thing but a directed smile at someone is different to her whether she noticed or not that smile simply said I like you I am attracted to you without using words you used the smile to say that an indirect smile would be fine if you were generally smiling then cool but a purpose full smile is potraying attraction. Also whether she is in auto pilot or not that registered with the subconcious, the field is a brutal place full of landmines I was simply saying that I would prefer to open without any previous physical or phycological interaction
