I remember the first time I ever read that book. I picked it up the same day as i picked up The Game. It is hands down the funniest books ever written. The movie was great, but the book was 100 times better.

the book was awesome.

I think its gay they called the McGriddle a "pancakewich" in the movie.

Quote:
I can only assume by your cavalier attitude that you have yet partake in the wonderment that is the [McGriddle]. Allow me to enlighten you. What happens is the one true god grows [McGriddles] on trees in the Elitian fields using a mystical incantation, he then proceeds to magick them down to your local eatery where whatever societal reject [McDonalds] has rescued off the dole that week gently wraps them in cellophane and passes them along to you, the fortunate consumer. You proceed to ingest this finery in the vain hope that your obviously overmatched tastebuds can somehow comprehend the delectable intricacies that face them. Is that egg? Why yes, yes it is. And bacon too. But wait, did they...? They didn't. Yes, they did, they did indeed. They added cheese. And then, then my friend, they wrapped it in a sumptuous pancake bun. As your tastebuds try to process that amazing piece of information, it hits them: the syrup nugget. The motherfucking syrup nugget. It announces itself with a burst of confectionery grandiosity the likes of which your pallet has never seen!

Excellent movie, saw an early screening in Gainsville with Tucker actually. Book is a bit better, but both are hilarious. Sad it didn't do better in theaters.

Never even heard of it, but had they advertised better I'd have definitely gone to see it.

Yeah, it was a fairly low budget project in general, but I think if they would have a bigger advertising budget it would have done very well.

Be sure to check out their YouTube channel to

Some of their pre-screening/video tour videos with Bill Dawes are fucking hysterical.

it wouldn't have mattered since a shit ton of movie theaters didn't WANT to screen it.

I guess you are right. Although i am certain that with a larger budget behind their distribution that quite a few more theaters would have carried it for the right price. Look at Bruno. Lots of theaters didnt want to show it but they did simply because of the amount of money they got paid to carry it.

I was lucky enough to see it in theatres, and I know I have watched the DVD several times since then. Hopefully Tucker makes good on his promise for a sequel if they sell a million DVDs. Buy them up people.
