Okay, so at the moment I'm working on just going up to girls, giving them a sincere compliment and then staying or leaving depending on how I feel. It's a lot more fun than memorising excessively canned routines and makes me feel like I'm becoming a better conversationalist rather than a robot.

But now I've noticed a problem for when girls approach me.

I've got quite long curly hair, and almost every night I'm out one or two girls will come up and tell me how much they love it. No matter how often it happens, I'm always a little thrown off guard by this. Cutting straight into mid-game as if I'd approached them is fractionated for me. Basically I don't know how to respond to the interest without appearing too aloof or too grateful.

As I've written this out, the two general scripts that have come into my head are '(laugh) what a nice thing to say, I like your [insert genuine compliment]. What are you and your friends doing here tonight?'

or

'(laugh) everyone notices the hair, what else d'you like about me?'

Please give me some feedback and suggestions on these responses, or share some experiences of this nature
