she's a bartender at a local bar that i frequent. i've known her for about a year so we know each other pretty well. she had a bf for the longest time so it was pretty easy not to show any interest. about 3 months ago she finally broke up with her bf and it didnt take long for the word to get out that she was single. i played it cool while every afc hit on her for the next couple of weeks. i then start to notice that her flirting with me started to change in a good way. then my friend tells me he was in the bar last week and she was asking him about me. next time i'm in the bar i # close-time bridge (me grilling her steaks at my house). now that its after valentines day this new guy that she's been dating for a couple of weeks is now her new bf. she says to me "i really dont like my new bf, i dont want anything serious." then she promised to come over my house this week for the steak dinner i offered. i texted her to ask what day she is coming over and she pulls the "i cant i have a bf card." i have 2 questions

1. why do women do this? is this a shit test?
2. how do i overcome this obstacle?

It is probably a shit test, tho she doesnt want to be "sluty" since she actually does have a boyfriend.

You can neg her with something like... "ohh i asked kuz i was already sure you will come since you promised, but never mind" (she will end up like a person who doesnt keep promises). And just change the subject like you dont give a shit.

Play it cool, next time talk more to other women next to her...

You can even play it smart with some story telling how you care much about loyalty, truth etc.. (she will connect 2 + 2 lol). She will try to qualify too, but it will be hard kuz she already fucked up in that field . So next time when you call her, she will try to make it up to you somehow .

What boyfriend? She's been dating a guy for two weeks? That's not a long term romance. And it's more than likely a shit test.

Invite her over for grilling steaks. Tell her his "just as friends" then get the game on. Tell her you want to widen your circle and get her over to your house. All the better if you can have a group of people there and make it a little dinner party (LOM) . If your frame is tight and she's interested, she'll come over and soon forget about Mr. Rebound if he exists.
