He didn't have to do anything to get the date. She's not amazing true, but I bet shes a lot better than what he is used to going on dates with if this is how he acts.
I had issues with the whole interaction. He says he's nervous to begin with, immeadietly creating the impression that he places value on this date. Also being a nervous man is not an attractive quality. If he came across as laid back the interaction would be more likely to flow this way and she may have had half the chance to enjoy it.
He then goes and says that he was told she has nice legs followed by a pervy look, its cringe worthy. Im sure that wasnt the only thing that was said about her to make him want to go on the date (sure the legs reason might be enough for him, but dont tell her that) You can see she doesnt like it when he says it.
When shes talking about what he does, he mumbles his words, makes an unenthusiastic comment about running a bussiness. Lack of confidence and ambition or any interest in what he does.
Anyway, when it comes to it at the end you can see she's saying no polietly, hes all to egar to for a second date with a beaming smile. The guys just AFC nice guy all round, I dont mean to be harsh on him, he obviously doesnt have a clue what to do so he does what most guys would.
