| Hey homie, it's badass that you are trying to work on your physical health. But the REASONING behind it is what's important in keeping you consistent and fulfilled.
You should forget about what OTHERS think you should do and think what type of body do you want. At some point, i wanted to be chiseled, but i realized it's simply too worrisome. I then realized, darwin; survival of the fittest. I can have a healthy lifestyle, without having to count calories. I'm only saying this because maybe it will give you an idea of what i mean.
I want to lift heavy ass shit, for at least a somewhat functional amount of reps(more emphasis on strength), i want to also have a healthy heart and good cardiovascular health(i gotta stop smoking pot, once a week but still), and i want to be able to lift my own body weight, because i think it's sad when a fat man can lift 500 pounds, but can't do 10 pushups, a 1 min plank, or run for 5 min.
Just think what YOU find attractive goals, and as everyone in this community will agree with, it's about INNER game more so than OUTER.
I have my own question, don't mean to highjack but it' so the same topic.
I'm of the impression that MOST girls want someone with lower enough body fat % for visible abs. In terms of survival and protection, this doesn't make sense in terms of our "hardwiring". I know plenty of males who eat awful food and just have fast metabolisms and because of their low body fat %, they are viewed as "healthy".
Someone who ate nutritious food(i'm not talking about because it says fat free it must be healthy...i'm referring to an educated lifestyle of nutrition that cuts through the advertising bullshit), who's strong as a brick wall in all movements(bench is at 355, squat at 405 and deadlift at 440...i weigh 192 lbs 5'6), and who can run 2-3 miles seems to me to be MORE "healthy". I know that PUA mainly utilizes our evolved hardwiring, and it gets me thinking how the ideal male body type became that way? One can say advertising, but as mass media advertising is so new compared to how long we've been a species, i'd think our hardwiring would override what a certain few people at some point "thought" was healthy and desirable.
Any thoughts?
