I was gona lay low for a while but I think this could help allot of people

The rubber band:

Wear a rubber band around your wrist at all times, whenever you have a negitive thought pull it back and give yourself a good snap, then think of the same thing in a positive way. "Aww shit shes to hot for me" SNAP "FUCK OUCH, oh. I'm a cool dude I can get her no problem"

This is some pretty basic classical conditioning, your going to gradually become more positve to avoid the pain. Its also a good reality check, most of the negitive self doubting bullshit is all in the head, the snap can bring you to reality.

Would it look wierd if I was sitting at the dinner table and suddenly rammed a fork into my leg because I thought the conversation was boring?

Nah dude totally normal behavior. If you double teh band up it can give quite a sting, its not ment to be super painfull just a reminder.

I know I know, it would be nice if we could re-enforce positive behaviour also. The best thing I can think of is the idea of keeping your favorite mints/lollies in your pocket and having one each time you do something positive. But that comes dangerously close to dog training with treats  .
