Total AFC here but i think i have an advice worth reading.
First of all I never actually tried sarging on the field, so i don't know the exact feeling, but i know another. So many times, countless events that i said to myself "that's it, you get up your ass and go talk to that sweet babe over there" but of course, nothing happened, and that my friend is a sour taste of failure.
I failed to even approach, and then looking at that girl laugh and have fun was like spitting in my face, and when i saw another AFC douche talk to her it was like a little voice laughed at me "Look at you, pathetic looser, can't even talk to a girl". And that happens every night i go out with friends, even to this day.
My advice, and i compare it to a sport i used to practice, Parkour. You go out, you train, we called it jams (=sarges) when we had a bad jam, we didn't feel like shit and sorry for ourselves, instead, we sat down (me and my Parkour partenrs = wings) and analyzed every tiny detail we did wrong, so that next time we will improve, we looked at each jam as a practice for a better next one. And trust me, i tasted some failure in that sport (broken bones, numerous "blue spots").
It is kind of hypocritical of my to tell you this advice since i don't follow it myself when it comes to PU, i just can't i understand the logic behind it, heck , i did it myself in Parkour, but when it comes to PU, i just can't make that step.
Anyway, bro, hope i helped you a bit.
Sorry to go offtopic here, but I got some advice for this guy.
How did you go on to doing parkour? Did you start as an infant and started doing back flips? I doubt it, you first learned how to stand, then to walk, then to run, then to jump, then to jump over rails, etc. Same thing applies to pickup, you first just make eye contact, then you say ''Hi'' to strange people, then you say ''Hi, how are you?'' and try to make small talk.
It's all baby steps, so you don't feel the fear as much. It's even less fear if you're having a blast with your friends and you invite girls into your reality, but that's more advanced inner-game stuff.
