the other night, I f-closed this hb9 who i've been friends with for a while, but is newly single. she said she doesn't want anything serious (which is fine with me) but has also been indicating differently (i.e. texts saying i cant stop thinking about you, etc).

I DO want to keep her around for a while, at least. so, do i play along with her and give her the attention she's been giving me, or remain reserved and keep her on her toes? Any other advice on where to go from here would be awesome

So whatever you did to get her, is what you need to continue doing. These mixed signals are like a trap, she needs to make sure that your serious about not getting into a relationship, so she'll continue throwing these texts to you. Just act cool, and continue being yourself.

Come back in three months, thats usually the amount of time it will take before one of really breaks.

If you really like her, then maybe you could change a couple things to better accommodate her, but still give it time. It's very easy in the beginning to confuse hornyness with actually liking the girl.

Keep her in your roster, but Go Find Ten Other Women in the meantime. This will aid you in dealing with confusion. If you have any physicality or just intimate interactions with women in general you won't be so stuck on the one girl. If she really is what you want then you will find that out with a clearer head, knowing you weren't blinded by pure emotions.
