Lately ive been noticing the power of giving value and i started thinking about it and i couldn't quantify a good definition of the term. what is giving value and how do you achieve giving it?

Giving value means just "giving value". You can do this in many ways. The way I seem to give a lot of value is by accepting myself and the people around me, so that when I'm around people, it makes them feel more comfortable being themselves. But you can do it many ways. Maybe being entertaining, friendly, funny, a good listener, confidant, relating... I mean it's just giving value.

Basically if you stop wanting things from people, approval/control/security then nautrally you'll just give value to the interaction. How do you get to that place, well I've found meditation works wonders, just silencing the mind and being satisfied with the present moment seems to work wonders.

ask what is valuable to people. If you can promote any of the things you come up with with your presence and charater you are gonna have some great results.

For ex. people value being comfortable, relaxed, laughing, being interested in things, learning things generaly having fun. Hmmm sounds like a lot of things mentioned in loads of pickup material.

So ask how you can contribute value to interactions. Just dont be AFC about it

Giving value is a good thing. It makes people feel good.

A word of warning though. Giving value is not the same as giving them your value.

Letting them help themselves to your leftover charisma is a good thing. SPAM your own value is a bad thing.

Compare to charity, thats good. Giving random people all your money just so they will like you is a bad thing.

OP, giving value could be as simple as adding an interesting prospective, constructive thought to a converstation in a social gathering.

E.g

Taking Value : Telling a girl that she doesn't know to use an IPhone in this day and age makes her look like a dumb bimbo

Giving Value : Showing her how to operate some of the cool features and getting her excitied over some songs, pictures etc.

The idea is the pleasant feelings that you leave behind with people after you've left the conversation.
