Here is one simple thing that we've all have heard. "The more you talk the less worthy your words become". I do agree with that personally but I think the more appropriate is "the more you talk nonsense/ boring ..." When a girl asks about for example your job, Its an IOI, however, just like when one asks "how are you?" they expect quick answer instead of you talking about your health, you need to give a quick answer.
I am an electrical apprentice myself, and that's all I say. If I try to explain exactly what I do to her and if I like it and why I like it and ... it will become boring and she'd be waiting for a small excuse to leave (again, depends on how well and exciting you make it sound like, for example if you are a good story teller and put a personal or fake story in there too and say it with excitement that keeps her attracted, that's a different story as you can bring up your social value and ...". So keep it simple, yet let it be room for her to ask further questions if she wants to; and if she does, that means she is getting more interested in you.
So keep it simple and let her talk more, as:
1. if you pay attention to what she says, she will find it cute
2. you get to know her better and you can work your game better and more efficiently
3. when you get to know her better, you might even realize you do not wanna have anything to do with her as she might turn out to be annoying as hell :p
4. which is sorta related to 1, if she is a very attractive girl, it makes her realize you are not just looking at her just as a pretty face and you respect what she has to say and you are trying to know "who she is"!

Mostly people who talk less (talking less doesn't mean you act like a shy person, so you need to have your body language right to show how confidant you are), when they speak, everyone pays more attention to what they have to say and that is a sign of respect and higher value in my opinion!
