I've been seeing this girl for about two weeks now, and I'm realizing she's not what I'm looking for in a girlfriend. She's given me a lecture about how I better not play with her feelings or she'll fuck me over, because of guys cheating and dumping her in past relationships. I haven't done anything untrustworthy, but I dont want lead her on if I'm not interested in having a relationship with her. I'm terrible at getting out of situations like this. I think I have an idea of what I have to do, but I guess I'm looking for some suggestions

It might not sound like the easiest, but in my experience, it's best to be totally honest and candid with her about your reasoning. She may not like it at the time, but at least you will have done it in as respectful of a manner that you could have, and she will (hopefully) eventually appreciate that. Oh, and when I say honest and candid, I don't mean that you should be without tact.

Just be like Tony Romo and send her a text message saying you want to break up and its over lol. But since your not in a relationship yet just act like a girl and say to her one day or on the phone that you think you two should just be friends. Girls do it all the time and it works for them so why not do the same thing. Its not evil or mean your just letting her know its not what you expected or want

BigWillie (interesting name), this is my opinion on this: First off, you must decide with 100 % that this is a relationship you absolutely do not want and feel like giving up on. I'd like to say that (if you've already decided this) that breaking up with her NOW is better than later.

If you drag this out for a few more weeks/months - you're gonna end up hurting her WAY more than you would've now. So good job here.

This is how I would do it: I'd pick a public location (preferably a cafè) where she won't overreact in any way and keep it down. Take her out and sit down with her. Now, slowly start talking about how YOU feel that this relationship has been progressing. Then tell her: ... This has made me come to a conclusion. This is where she will know exactly what you're about to do.

"I'm truly sorry for hurting you like this. I know that you've been through some tough relationships in the past - but these lack of feelings is nothing I can do about. This is just how I feel. You must understand that it's not you - it's me (classic line - i love using it)".

You get the point. I'm not telling you HOW to phrase this - it's up to you. But the point is: Don't hurt her. And absolutely do not say something that you will regret later.

That's all it takes, really. I'm also gonna go through a break-up soon, so I feel you bro.

This girl has been hurt before and you being up right honest with her would not do her any good. She is just trying to protect herself. How about this - turn into a wussy for her, be all lovey dovy and talk about feelings. Be a little clingy by calling her 3 times a day. This would automatically make her lose attraction for you and she will call it quits before you do. Girls punish AFC behavior really hard - we all know that right !
