I just thought I'd go on a little rant about some of the simple openers that work for me. I know there is a ton of material out there but maybe this could be useful for someone.

Openers are nothing more than ice breakers. It is not meant to build attraction. There is no need to memorize a 10 page opener to win a girl over.

If you see an attractive girl and you draw a blank on what to say, you need to fix that. Have a standard opener. This way you have no excuse. I have two standard openers that are relative to a bar.

In a bar that obviously does not have a dance floor (Imagine an Irish Pub):

"So when does the dance floor open up here? I have been working on a few awesome moves and I've been meaning to try them out!"

This is playful and will open most girls to a follow up conversation.

I have to go but I'll finish this later...

situational openers are the best I think, if you're relaxed then spontaneous openers just come naturally, but if you're nervous you can just freeze up.

example was when a guy got chucked out of the club by loads of bouncers for being drunk, and I turned to the girl next to me and said "do you know who it sucks to be?"

for uni day game i'm probaby going to ask for directions or suggestions for a present, i need to work on it

"you'r cute"

thats what I've been opening with recently. Chicks either light up like a chrstmas tree when you say that from the right frame or they are blown away in shock and can barely respond. There usually some big reaction though and that's what I want at this point.I actually just find it ammusing and fun to watch their reactions at this point.

Ive not had a bad open since I started being this direct. I have had a few skidish girls walk away when I opened this way it was a little to strong for them, but the thing is i see them later watching me, basically sizing me up so i know it made a big impression on them too. I usually dont but im sure I could re open them as they usually proximity later at some point.

I really think the more direct you can go the better. Still working my way up to the appocolype opener.

I like using "Hi" as an opener as well. There is something about the simplicity of it that makes it so ingenious. It applies more to opening a single or two set, but it can display a genuine confidence.

I'm not as big a fan of the "you're cute" opener. I feel like you're giving her a compliment right off the bat when she doesn't really deserve it. I don't doubt that it can and has opened, and it's better than saying nothing....but if you are approaching girls who know they are cute and get hit on a lot, it may not be so successful.

I like openers that are either simple or lead into something funny. I like asking girls if they know where any dark, hole in the wall bars are because I'm looking for a potential wife, and that is where I imagine I'd find her. It's presented in a joking fashion...

Have you ever tried 'you're cute' out?

I guess not, try it before saying "yeah, I don't think that works"
There's alot more value to that than assuming it doesn't work or is flawed

I have used openers such as "your cute" out. If you read my post you will see I didn't write "yea, I don't think that works" as if I am just imagining how it would happen. Instead I wrote that I am not a fan of that particular opener compared to others.

I know that in forums people often bash an idea or statement before they use it because of something they read in a book. It gets irritating writing in forums because everyone has such strong, uneducated opinions. Maybe I should be elaborating more in posts to avoid confusion...

With anything it all depends on your internal state and the communications behind the words. There really is a set of openers for chumps and a set of openers for cool guys. Heard this on the blueprint but it is absolutely true IMO. If your are a cool guy being that direct and as early as possible is like pouring gas on attraction. If it rattles chicks I think thats even better as long as you back off.

Now Im not totally in cool guy mode 100% of the time, I still swing inbetween being a champ and a chump from times but I have a pretty good handle on when Im on and when to start using this go to this opener otherwise I will use a situational one or just say "hi, you seem like you could be fun". Even when Im not "on" if I try "you'r cute" and get blown out it gets me instate too because Im putting myself out beyond comfort levels.

Bottom line ive decided is if you are talking to a girl she knows what the deal is, better to just put it out there early & powerfully is awesome. Ive had a couple instant make outs. Even if i do it badly sometimes it shows you have balls.

Basically got to say it with breaking rapport tonality or as if Im skeptical, like you're cute but I don't know about you yet, well see. That's the overall communication is your hot, i have the balls to say it but im not sold, & we'll see if there's more to you.

"You're cute" is pretty good. . . especially if you turn your head little bit and say it as if you were talking to you little niece. Hey, I'm not gonna go into the psychology of this whole thing but damn, this seems to turns them on . . .

Still, my favorites for day game are of this genre:

bolognese-opener-vt58443.html?highlight=

It stops them right on their tracks. It's an opener/routine/ . . .and really with a bit of imagination, a close all in one.

At night, you generally want to AMP everything up because nothing that happens in a club matters. . . it's all just a damn fantasy.

My favourite opener would also be "Hi".

The simplicity of just saying "Hi" and see where she wants to take the conversation attracts me, this way I can learn quickly whether I like the girl or not.

When I approach a girl I want to figure out what she's like (logically). By using a very elementary opener like just saying "Hi" I experienced less formalities and more honest conversation.

Anyway, what you say doesn't really matter, as long as you keep it in boundaries (tough it's fun to play with strange openers).

By the way this reminds me about overall similarities of game with chess. It doesn't matter how you open: some things are more formal, other things are 'not done' but depending on the player every opener can be successful.

I know that this thread is all about "simple openers" but there are such thing as better openers . . .

What does "hi" do? This is like asking a yes or no question. 99% of the time, she'll say "hi" back.

A good opener makes her laugh. It makes her think. It makes her respond with more than just "yes", "no", or a "hi". A good opener should give you a seamless transition to your routine. A good opener separates you from most of the World as well as most members of this forum.

I will definitely try that one Hobbit!

Kasabi, you're probably right, but I'm more interested in whether or not it is more fun to do the same routine opener (or one of your standard repertoire). They are more effective I guess, but is effectiveness that important in Game?

It's very possible that I get this wrong, you should understand I'm only 20 I've had success with girls but not that much. I know I still make errors in my game, and I know some errors I will probably keep making for the rest of my life. I envy most routine.
