First thing, I did NOT come up with this routine. Someone else recently came up with it from another forum. I have yet to see it posted on here so I thought I would help you guys out. The following are conversations that I've had so enjoy!


Me: Good lord you're gorgeous.

Her: I don't know who you are but thank you!

Me: Haha.
Well then Let's play a "get to know each other" game..
It's called Would you rather? And it's pretty self explanatory. I'll go first.
WYR: Live in the mountains or in the big city?
And why??

Her: The big city. Why? Well, I already live in a big city and i love it. Also, I wanna be a fashion designer and the city is much more glamorous than the mountains (don't get me wrong, I love the mountains, but I'd rather live in the city).
WYR: go to the movies or stay home and watch a movie on tv?

Me: Oh wow,
that was a great answer!
I'm actually going to go to the Academy of Arts University for fashion and design or NY film academy for acting.

I would rather go to the movies,
bigger, better, and hardly any interruptions.
But if it was a date then most likely stay home.

WYR: Win the lottery, or become a superhero? ;P


Her :Oh that's really cool. I'm into acting as well. Hi5.
That's such an easy question. I'd rather win the lottery, duh. Why would I want to be a superhero when SPAM's already around?
WYR: eat at McDonalds or Burger King? (that's a very important question so think twice before replying )

Me: Well I see you have good taste in careers,
and also T.V. shows.
I love Gossip Girl.

And there's nothing super about SPAM,
Flash is the best. ;P

And I would rather neither,
I don't eat fast food lol.

WYR: Be stranded on an island alone or with someone you hate.

Her: LOL Who doesn't love Gossip Girl?
My favourite character is Blair (that was pretty obvious) and my friends say we look alike 'cause we dress alike and have similar personalities (I'm not a total bitch but I have my moments..) Who's your favourite?
Wrong answer! McDonalds = (: I'm trying not to eat fast food tho.
Neither, but if I HAD to choose.. I think I'd rather be with someone I hate, 'cause at least I'd have someone to argue with.
WYR: go to a club or a house party?
Oh, and Flash? Give me a break!

Me: Lol.
My favorite is definitely Chuck Bass,
I practice his lines in front of the mirror. Great character and great actor.
And I knew you were going to say Mcdonalds.

And I can't even choose between those two, clubs have more dancing. Yet parties are easier to hear people talk and make new friends. I'm going with both!

WYR: Give me your phone number now so we can continue this game via text message or make me beg for it and continue this horribly inefficient process of email tag?
(HINT: I don't beg for phone numbers)

Her: Good answer.
I'd give you my number but I live on the other side of the world and I've tried texting to the US before but it didn't work. I have aim and msn tho.
WYR: get my aim/msn or end this conversation forever (wow drastic)?

I wasn't aware that she didn't live near me until she said this, but I'm sure if she was a US I would've got her number, oh well though!

We texted for awhile and she flirted and told me how hott she thought I was, but I deleted her number because she has a boyfriend and I have morals. These were just a couple of the many numbers I've gotten from this routine and I probably close about 90% on myspace.

I strongly doubt the conversation will go anyway close to the way it is depicted in this post. She has to be pretty bored to spend that much time chatting to a total stranger.

Nope, not true.
I've tried this about twenty times.
Number closed around 17 of them maybe.
And they think its a really fun game.

Maybe you should try it out before you judge it.

Maybe but lets face it some of the replies have been exaggerated. I am not saying it doesn't work, infact i am gonna try it out.

once you got the number did you you transition onto something else? or carry on the game for a text or two?

What kind of forum were you using? Myspace, Facebook, ???

i used plenty of fish, but i wouldn't see why it wouldn't work on myspace or facebook.

once i get a reply from my opening email, i say a little something to lead into the above routine. its quite a fun little game and some of the answers i've had back have given me some good laughs.

hmmm....got an interesting response after asking for the number:

"For one I dont know your name or where you come from and two why should I? lol

You dont have to beg hun x"

HER: hmm i dont want to live in "the mountains" but i have lived in the country before and i like it. its nice, peaceful, and pretty. =] i love the city but they can be so dangerous and i cant really imagine raising a family there. awesome to visit though. lol. you?

The city is fun, but like you said i couldnt imagine raising a family there either, I travel alot with my work so i get to see alot of different cities and so thats pretty sweet, i install communications equip for AT&T.

I would rather live on my own, jus because i like being able to do things for myself, i hate depending on people, plus i cant take being with my parents 24/7 haha, although, it might depend on how much money i could have haha...

Hey guys. This is a cool routine in my opinion, sure to get girl's attention.
I have a question though, I just recieved a question from a girl like this:

"Would you rather try to get a girl who you really like, but who has a boyfriend or find another girl who is single, but not as special?"

Obviously, she just told me she got a boyfriend, and that was supposed to be the last question from her before i asked for her phone number. What would be a good answer?

is this supposed to be for an instant message? cause im sending just the opening line "good lord you're gorgeous" as a message and noone has responded yet.
