so this girl i've been talking to and hooking up with basically asked me out last weekend. she wanted to hang out yesterday, but on tuesday she told me that she found out family was coming in for the holidays and she couldn't hang.

at first i was like "well ill see you never, Bye!" but i thought this was kinda angry afc so when she replied i said "you're gonna have to make it up to me". she said she was already planning a date for us.

I feel like i still have a good chance with this girl, and i like her a lot, but my question is whether i should initiate talking to her or not. i didnt text her yesterday and she didnt text me. But theres a part of me that thinks i should make her text me and not the other way around just because i shouldn't look needy, especially after the way i initially replied to her flaking.

is this the wrong mentality, or do i have the right idea?

I'd say let her text you. If she actually is making plans for the two of you, then I have no doubt that she'll want to see those plans come true.

yeah i mean the last time i talked to her was wednesday, and i know shes probably been at home with family the whole time. im thinking of let her get through the weekend and if she doesn't text me then ill think about texting her then.
