I am currently dating a girl that happens to be a model and she wants to lose some weight which makes absolutely no sense cause she is about 5'1" 95 lbs. I keep telling her that she does not have enough weight to lose. I know that this will not destroy our relationship but I really care about this girl. So what would you say???

Fashion models are under stupid amounts of pressure to get too thin, and get boob jobs, to create the unrealistic and airbrushed images we see in the magazines. (My ex is a fashion designer)

She may have issues, or she may be doing it for her job. Either way, it is bad. If it's for her job then it comes down to her career choice. If it's because she's got issues, then it's probable that she needs more help than you can give.

In my experience, with anorexic girls, all you can do is keep talking to them about it and helping them through it. In the end it usually comes down to professional help and their own drive.

Another example is there was one hot stripper who was totally into me. I mentioned that "you know, what? it seems that these people that win the powerball lottery never buy just 1 ticket - but many, like a hundred" (well that was the case with the latest winner at that point)... next weekend she tells me she had bought $400 worth of lottery tickets and won nothing. It's ok, she could afford it.... and she was a smart girl too, believe it or not ... but moral of the story is, if the girl likes you... she might place great weight on the smallest thing you say. So be careful.

Yes, girls want to be looked after and look to you for advice, and feel safe. But some girls more than others.

With the boob job girl - as tragic as it is, and I'm very saddened to read it, don't get me wrong, but I think it says more about the girl that would cut up her body on the whim of a single thing one boy said, and with a dodgy cheap doctor to boot.

All you can do is compliment her on how she currently looks. NEVER say anything negative, even Negs are bad for girls who are so self-concious about how they look. Even saying for her to gain a few pounds will be looked at as negative.

Yea, models are under a lot of pressure to keep thin. Maybe suggesting some exercises like Yoga or Pilate you BOTH can do together, as those excercise are good for the mind and soul. She will look thinner by getting toner but not to the point where she is just skin and bones... Just make sure she eats healthy by going out to places with healthy food or better said yet, become a good healthy cook.

It might be a phase she is going through, and trust me all models are phased-out eventually, so give it some time.

If she uses drugs to help her lose weight, you have more problems on your hands than just diet pills and anorexia, she needs professional help.
