So I'm a waiter, and last night a table of 4 girls came in. I approached, was confident, funny, and got their orders in. I was in no way hitting on them. When they left, the cute one left me her number. The thing that concerns me is that I only spent a total of 3 minutes talking to her the entire night, and none of it involved getting to know her. However, now I have this number, but I don't know what to do with it. Should I wait 3 days, or call today (the day after)? My question is: was I charming enough to wait the full 3 days, or should I call her today, before she forgets/regrets the decision? I might go the safe route and text her, but even then, what do I say? She left me a 5 dollar tip, a temporary tattoo from an environmental organization, and her phone number. Also, I think she noticed me when I complimented her on a t-shirt she was wearing (a princess kissing a frog with the frog having a thought bubble that the princess will turn into a frog). That's all I know about her.

because you're addmitting to that fact that you didnt game her one bit, then she is just attracted to you purely by looks, if she likes you enough to actually leave her number to a complete stranger, it seems like you're already winning a battle that is just starting..

don't wait 3 days, it's too clique - and she might not remember you after that amount of time.. call her up on the evening of the next day..

i'd try calling (don't text her because it gives that impersonal feeling.. and she wont be expecting a call.. its sexy to call) her with a bit of C+F attitude, something like "hey, it's AisanCowboy85 - some cute girl left me this number at work.. i think you might know her..?"

I used to do that... I couldn't take it anymore after a while. I guess it's ok if you're full 2 weeks on/off shift, but I was there whenever needed and then had to go back to office stuff on land.

lol - i can go one better; since late 2008 companies have changed the rota system, i'm on 2 weeks on 3 weeks off.. im with BP, but Shell, TaQa, Marathon are all running similar rotations these days..

problem being, this year especially - my offshore time seemed to lie on top of all of my mates birthdays, good nights out, gigs etc. ;(

So I got the number on friday, called the girl on saturday night, but no answer. Called again Monday (today), but no answer still, so I ended up just leaving a text saying "Hey, this is AsianCowboy from the restaurant. Some cute customer left me her number. I think you might know her." I didn't get a text back but about an hour and a half later I get a call from her. So I pick up, and I hear music in the back ground...and then it stops...and then she hangs up. I got curious so I called her back, but the phone was off. I called her again, and it rings, then it goes to voicemail....so now I guess she's screening her calls? WHAT THE HELL??? What do I do now?

You don't. Move on with your life, meet other girls.
If she wanted to call you, she would've done this by far. you did enough, just don't call her anymore or else you will come across as needy and low value.

No disrespect to the advice being given here but I think you made a few mistakes here.

1) I think you should have texted her first. I mean, if you ring her, she is gonna see an unknown number on her phone. Most people don't answer an unknown number...despite her giving you her digits.

2) I think you should have texted her that night... That's when her state of attraction is STILL high. Leave it a day and her girlfriends will start convincing her what she did was a bit slutty and desperate.

3)Because of that, you end up ringing her more than three times with no response. Then you try and salvage it with text... There was nothing wrong with it. It was a good cocky funny text, but by that time she'd be already creeped out by your neediness.

Just a quick not to say that I've had friends (very good platonic friends, not random girls people call friends...) tell me that they sometimes dial random numbers when their phones is in their purses. That would explain the blank phone call with random music in the back. Your message was the last thing on her phone and it it 'call back' or something like that.

.... I'm not saying you should persue more though.
