I ran into a problem I don't know how to handle. A friend and I went out to a club the other night and I initiated a conversation with a girl. I got an ioi right away. She rubbed my face and told me to dance with her later. I ignored her for a while, and she kept watching me. Later that night I went down with my friend and started talking again. My wingman danced with her while I talked to her guy friend and ugly friend. The Hb7 came back over and I dropped a few negs and got her number pretty easy. However, my wing man wanted to try to get them to come back with us. Her guy friend was starting to get in the way, so I sat down next to them and alpha maled him. I took over the conversation and my wingman threw in some insight and talked to the friends. I soon realized the girl was really drunk. She started to pull up her shirt and her friends started getting nervous even though we didn't pay attention to her and stopped her. We decided it was better strategy to leave with the number and tell her friend to take her home for some sleep. Makes us look like the good guys and win over the friends. I called her late the next day and we had a decent conversation. Plenty of ioi's and negging. Later she called me and asked if my wingman was single. I told her he broke up with his girlfriend the same time I did. We talked a bit more and I felt confident enough in the conversation to ask her out on a date. She then said she was interested in my wingman and not me. Was this an oh shit test? If so I think I felled. I told her it was cool, because I was really interested in her hot cousin. (not in those words). I am all for my wingman, but this can't happen all the time. If it happens again how should I go about winning in the battle of the pua's?

So he isolated the target while you occupied the obstacles. Sounds like you winged him, not the other way around.

Take a pass on this one and determine roles prior to going into a set the next time.

From the sounds of it he owes you a six-pack of your favorite alcoholic beverage and what I like to call "The Ultimate Punishment" Find some chick you think is cute with an absolute hog of a friend and make him wing for you. If he's really a good friend he'll do it and then you guys are even. But you shouldn't stand in the way of him and this chick, won't do anyone any good. Just remember the wing talks to the friends while the main guy isolates the girl, not the other way around.

well he knew I was going for her. We agreed in advance. And I initiated the conversation when he wasn't around. I brought him into it. Maybe a mistake. lol. I can't hold it against him though. It was rather interesting to see how it developed. I can sure learn from it though, and hopefully he'll be there for me when the not so attractive girl is in the way next time. Do you think it was a poor way for me to handle it when I told her I was interested in the hb's cousin and not her? The cousin was good looking to. And if my wingman is around the hb enough I may run into her. Now she will know i'm interested and that may cause problems.

Also in reply to xxIcexx , I thought she may have been saying it simply to see how I responded to it. Thus, I failed horribly. Also I talked today. My wingman said they were going out on a date tomorrow. She knew nothing of it. She said they had discussed doing something maybe, but nothing was set up. I told her I must have been confused by what he said. I didn't want to make my wingman look like he was making things up.

well if he knew that you were trying to pick her up, call him out on that and let him know that he cockblocked

but dont seem to mad, just let him know what he did and then tell him that shes into him

i also do think it was a poor response about the cousin

because you wouldnt be asking her out on a date if you wanted her cousin...she could see right through that

but learn from the mistakes and dont take them to seriously

Yeah the response was dumb. I froze and didn't know what to say. oh well. I will if it happens again. On a brighter note. I got a number close yesterday and set up a date for this weekend. My first HB9. I'm rather proud right now. And it has boosted the confidence sky high. I ready to go out for more. I was sitting in class yesterday and saw another HB9 and started talking to her. She showed quite a few ioi's. I try for a number close monday.
