I met her at a bar and went back to her place, made out for a while, then she passed out from being pretty drunk. However, we hooked up in the morning and talked for a while. I called her Sunday night and we agreed to hang out some time this week. She then texted me last night while I was hanging out with some friends and asked if I was busy tonight or tomorrow. I wound up calling her back about 45 minutes later and leaving a message basically saying that tomorrow night would work for me. That was a little after 8 and she never returned my call.
My phone was having some issues that night so it's possible that she called back and just didn't get through, but I'm still not sure what my next step should be. Should I text her today and ask if she still wants to hang out or should I assume that I came on too strong by calling back after a text and wait a little while to get in touch with her again? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

I'd say there is less than a 50% chance that it would have been my phone's fault. It was just lagging a lot and I wanted an excuse for why I didn't hear back from her.

But if you think your phone was having issues then I'm not sure if you have much of a choice, just make sure there's a good time buffer between this and your last attempt to contact her.

Time bridging was always a weak point of mine. My mistake was I'd leave it open and vague rather than solidifying it while I was still with the girl.
Example of bad time bridging: "I'll call you some time this week and we'll hang out again."
Example of better time bridging: "Well what say we go to Golden Gate Park for a that concert next Friday? We could meet on the Haight, get something to eat and walk on over. I'll call you on Wednesday."
In your situation I think you've left plenty of time, so I'd go ahead with the text that your phone was having issues, but leave the ball firmly in her court once you've done it. That's just my opinion. Anyone else? This is a tricky situation so it's hard to know what to do.
