I started a FaceBook a while back, now 99.9% of my friends on FB I know/knew/met at some point.... but one day I was browsing friends of other friends and came across a girl that I had the hugest crush on in HS (10 years ago) so out of curiosity of what she looks like now I sent her a request (about a week ago) and it still says waiting conformation, at the time it was sent we didn't have any common friends and we now have a couple (I probably should have waited) however the friends we now have in common I don't really know that well (knew them from middle school) Back in the day I never had the nerve to talk to her... so I'm looking for an angle to send a message so she'll accept my request but without sounding like a weirdo...

'waiting confirmation' means the request is still appearing in her home screen. It doesn't mean she had declined it yet (she simply disappears from your friend list when that happens). I say wait until she either accepts or declines the request. She probably hasn't logged in in a while.

I thought about that but I've noticed that her photo has changed 3 times... otherwise I would just wait.

To be blunt she would have answered or added you as a friend if she was interested.

I think one angle would be to send her a message again ( I think you have to cancel your request first) but mention your common friends, do NOT mention anything about 10 years ago. If she doesn't do anything the second time, move on.

I think after a while you can ask to be her friend again(after a month or so).
Just wait a month maybe more, then change your profile picture and then send her a DHV message. By that time she won't remember you, and because you changed your profile picture there's nothing but your name to remind her of you. And even if she does remember, by that time, if your message is good enough she will let herself "forget".

Ha ha, I did some experiments with this theory, it works not only for Facebook. I got a "fuck off!" and then after a month I got hugs and kisses.

i tried that on myspace once, a girl from back in the day that i liked, i messaged her and tried to add her but they just dont care anymore.

Add her only after you have talked to her and the convo flows.
Think of it like asking her name... it's pointless if she's not attracted to you.

I think I made the mistake of jumping the gun to early.... I should NOT have tired to add her right away.... I should have add her common friends that we have and waited for them to confirm, then just some sort of basic message.... guess its the waiting game now.

Adding her friends is BS.
You don't need that.
You just need to earn her trust before adding her that's it.
Wait, then have something good to send her... after 2 or 3 messages you can add her.
