I recently received a message via Facebook from a girl I've never met before and only have one mutual acquaintance. The message is as follows:

*
Subject: you have my last name too

are we related?
*

All I could think when I received it was: "what the crap?!?!" How could she not know? Of course we're not related!

She's kind of a cutie though. She might be an airhead (as made evident by her message), but I almost feel obligated to attempt some online game. After all, she opened me.

Any suggestions? I have no idea where to begin.

"Is that your pickup line? lol"

"Are you flirting with me?"

"Are you hitting on me? lol"

"Try harder."

The possibilities are endless.

'OMG, it's my long lost evil twin' keep it sexual so you don't get friendzoned.

Thanks, guys, for the advice. I have run into a slight roadblock. Here is the conversation thus far:

*
Her: are we related?

Me: Is that your best attempt at flirting with me? Try harder :)

Her: Why would I wanna flirt with you if I think you're related to me~? If we ever got married though you wouldn't have to change you're name to mine cause you already got it!

Me: You're a funny one. Cute, too ;). I hope we're not related!

Her: i dont think we are....but that's what i was asking! I love how you spell it with 1 "t" only, don't you ever get sick of telling people that, ******* with 1 T!!!

[She requested to be my friend]

Me: Totally, I usually introduce myself as "* ******* with one T". I figured it out; you must be my long lost evil twin!!! Too bad...you can't hit on me now because it turns out we are actually related ;D.

Her: no we are not related. I would have known about you by now.

Me: Looks like I'm in trouble then, huh?

Her: lol, what do you mean?
*

Disclaimer: I'm merely having fun with this person. I really don't care if anything happens; but I am curious to see where it goes.

That being said, WTF?! Either this girl not understanding my BLATENT flirtiness, or she is fucking with me. I obviously haven't been playing strictly by the "online sarger playbook" (if there is such a thing), but I feel as though I've made my flirtiness quite apparent.

Any other suggestions?

Suggestion: The related thing has run it's course it's time to change to a different topic to keep things flowing. You have been cocky funny enough for the most part. I'd start focusing on actually trying to build some rapport with the girl.
