Friday night was possably the most target poor nights i've ver experienced where I live. My wing and I bounced to about 4 locations. most of the occupents were averaging about 26 and most mixed sets that were out looked pretty tight (not yet good enough to entertain a large set for more than an oppener)

Set 1 - 2 set at rock.grunge bar.

"Hey guys can I get your opinion on something?"
Ye..
"Is kissing cheating?"
uuuh.. I dunno. i guess.
"Well my ex girlfriend went out and kissed other girls pretty much all week for a month"
Umm.. *looks at friend* I guess so
blah blah blah
Approach and open lasted far too long. Into 3/4 minutes. Didn't really have any DHV material to stack to (see DHV sticking point in routines section)

Basically ejected from set due to fluff talk about university shit.

Set 2 - Bar maid

Same intro
"well if my boyfriend were to kiss another guy when drunk, i wouldn't be too surprised... blah blah"
Saw this one more as a friendly chat.

Set 3 - Private school girls. CRASHED AND BURNED BAD
Wing oppened with an accomplishment intro which was pretty bad. 2 of the 4 girls walked off and the other 2 lost interest after 2 minutes because we didn't neg at all or show any alpha things. Wing also oppened with the intro not an oppener which really didn't work.
"Hey guys, did you know you're in the presence of a guy who saved 3 lives?"
what is he a lifeguard?

I tried to pull it back by cold reading ( I'm good at spotting the private school type. There's two major girls schools where I live and have a knack for spotting girls from each just by looking).
They laughed and were like how do you know.
Should've negged right? They were HB 7

Set 4 - 2 Set one HB5, target HB8

I oppened with a card routine.
"hey guys can I show you something cool? It's kinda Geeky, but you will be impressed"
"grab out a card"blah blah
Now, my finale is choosing the wrong card but then pulling the correct one from my mouth. It was quite empty when i performed this so getting the card into my back pocket was kind of obvious. The HB7 caught on, but I turned it into "our little secret". Spat the card out into bstacles hand (great way to increase kino and jelousy for target). After this I talked about age. I'm 18, said I was 19. They were 22 (5) and 23 (7). I bought out Styles "i feel sorry for you guys for being so old". I have to say it worked like a charm. I mentioned something about suga muma but didn't follow through with a future reference of us being together.
Kino was increasing.
I accomplished my wing "Hey guys, this is xxxx. he Canoes for England! He's unbelieveably hench - feel these bad boys" *guns!*
So he took the obstacle whilst I talked to the target. We discussed travelling. Turned out she was halg hungarian and half german. Been just about everywhere. Pretty cool stuff.

Anyway, fluff talk increased. i like to think of it as natural game with DHVs stated whereever possible. Hair was touched. Feet were pointed towards us. Laughter was occurring at rubbish jokes. HB7 also reinitiated conversation.

I played a game with HB7 (styles 5 questions) and she ended up buying me and my wing a drink after a bit of friction. But all of a sudden she turned sour! She was like.. First you insult me about my age and then you make me buy you a drink. We ejected them just before they were about to bounce so good timing on that front.

I'm having real trouble with transitioning from an opinion opener into DHV story. Can anyone point me to any posts which help with this? Also DHV stories which are shorter and better for noisier places would be smashing.

Hey, I don't know how much help this would be but I remember reading on the forum that a DHV story should be an answer to a normal question. I.e "what you doing here?" "how's your day?" "What do you do?"
