Location: New York | | Ok with the theory that when people lie, there eyes tend to shift to the right when they are creating a thought lie, or whatever. When they shift to the left it is said that they are recaling something that actually happend.
Now what confuses me is which way is right or left. Is it from the persons view or is it from my view (the observer)??

Posts: 31 | | I think it differs whether they're left or right handed, I get confused about it sometimes to. The best way to find out is basically ask someone to think of 3 things or however many you want - 1 lie and 2 truths. Don't get them to say it just get them to think of them one by one. Then obviously you are just looking for the variation in the way the eye moves to find the lie.

Location: Glasgow | | tbh i wouldnt rely on that theory completely! i tend to base whether i think people are lying or not on their body language, voice tone and whether they look at you for a reaction after or not.
