Setting: Really Small Town, Gym
Target: HB8.5 (Cant get her out of my head haha)


Alright so today I at around 4 pm I decided to go to the gym since I had been sitting around all day watching football, and felt like a lazy piece of crap. Anyways, I show up at the gym (which is a very small gym) and start going through my warmup when all of the sudden this absolute stunner HB8.5 - 9 walks in with 2 AFC looking guys. Like always, I just played it cool and continued with my workout while listening to my Ipod. However, the whole time Im just thinking of ways to open this girl.

So as Im analyzing the situation, it seems that one of these AFC looking dudes was her BF. But then again I wasnt sure. The 2 AFC dudes hit cardio machines the whole time, while the HB8.5 was doing free weights. And throughout my workout I would notice her checking me out, and I definately felt like I was getting proximity IOIs, but I wasnt sure because its a small gym.

Anyways, after I finish my workout I go to the stretch area to stretch, and a few minutes the girl comes and joins me and starts stretching as well. At this time about an hour had elapsed, and the only thing I had asked her was if I was gonna be in her way at one point during an exercise (again, small gym). So as were stretching I still didnt want to open since her "BF" was pretty much right there on the cardio machine. Then after a few minutes, he and the other AFC both leave to go to the pool.

So it was just me and the HB, so I knew I had to open. Shes doing these ridiculously flexible stretches, so I take out one of my headphones and decide to open with,

ME: "Wow, your making me feel bad here. Showing me up with those ridiculous stretches."

And she just laughs and smiles at me, and returns to stretching. I was expecting some sort of response atleast but got absolutely nothing. So I was kinda taken a back by this. I thought that Id be able to make a conversation out of this comment (I usually do), but nothing. So I continue stretching, her as well until her "BF" comes by and tells her hes done at the pool. I leave the gym a few minutes later, and on my way out I see her and she smiles at me and says "cya later", and of course I return the pleasantries.

What Im trying to figure out is what I should've done differently?

-Basically, I waited till her "BF" left before I opened (1 hour)
-Went in with a situational opener as opposed to an opinion opener which I couldve easily stacked with.
-And I probably shouldve kept pressing after my opener, although I was taken aback by the fact that she didnt respond verbally. I was really expecting her to say something, so I was drawing blanks when she didnt haha.

Thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated guys (and the odd gal who patrols the forum haha). Im currently living in a small town of 10,000 so chances are Ill run into her again, and I think Im gonna act like Papa did when he approached Paris Hilton for the 2nd time, and just pretend like ive never met or seen her before.

The fact that she laughed is something I would take as a verbal response.

I would have followed the situational opener with your opinion piece, it would have been easy to do now that the ice was broken.

I try to avoid making assumptions about who's dating who. A lot of the time we see a boy and a girl and instinctively assume that they're a couple, but oftentimes they're not. Unless you live in somewhere like Yemen where a woman can be killed for being seen with a man other than a family member, in this part of the world there's a lot of cases of boys being friends with girls. Sure, the guys in the picture might want to sleep with her, but there's a good chance that they're doing no such thing. If they're out of the room, you might as well go for it.

Wise words speed bird. Here is where I tend to leave girls. Knowing you will see her again the only memory she has of you is positive, a good thing. Next time she see's you she will recall that happy feeling. That is when you must strike. You have not destroyed the chance at the PU, I do second runs all the time. I guess I've never read anything on it but it works pretty well actually. I like to think that because NLP is more of a what works and not a set of rules there are gaps to be filled still.. You now have another situation opener for your next visit. Don't give up man confidence is key.!

Ya very good points guys...and Speed Bird you are right, I shouldve just pressed on. But I messed up. However, I do think im ok though.

Anyways, today I went to the gym and I did see her there again with the same 2 AFC dudes. However, the problem was I was there with my sports team, and my coach was in there running our workout. There was no way I was gonna open at all with my coach there, because obviously I had to be focused on my workout. However, I did try to DHV myself the best as I could by being very social with my teamates. Not goofing off of course, but cracking jokes, putting on a smile, working hard and acting focused when I was doing my exercises, but having fun at the same time. Again, I could tell she was checking me out, and giving me proximity IOIs. But again nothing I could do today. I guess Ill just have to hope I run into her yet again haha. Man she just has a face that kills. So cute. Decent body, nice and slender, not the best butt, but wow her face is so cute. haha

You're still in the game. If she knew you were there and you weren't running over to her, that's a good sign. You didn't do anything AFC, you're in no rush to win her over. You'll see her there again, and you'll have your chance to pounce again, preferably when she gives you another of these proximity IOIs and comes running to you.
