So a classmate of mine has given me plenty of IOI's during class; doodling on my papers, writing notes, asking what kind of girl I'm interested in, giving me a simple nickname, even initiating kino herself (resting her head on my shoulder a couple times saying she's tired or that it's comfortable) She told me she loves tall guys (I'm 6'5) but she said not to worry because she wasn't THAT into me. (haha yeah right)

A couple of former classmates of ours have shown significant interest in me in the past and she is aware of it... upping my value even more. She even got my phone number without asking me for it through a mutual acquaintance of ours.

I've given her a couple minor IOI's saying she was cute, adorable, endearing, but nothing over the top. I've been relatively reserved with her but been fun, exciting and real with her at the same time. She's pretty much come to me thus far and I've done little or no chasing.

She also just broke up with her boyfriend of 16 months and said he was too immature, didn't respect her, and partied too much, and needed more of a "man". The other day I suggested we see a movie we both want to see today. She agreed and I told her I would call her earlier today and let her know.

I called her first then realized she was at work and texted her the following...


ME: Hey! You're probably slaving away at work... but the movie times are 335 and 610 if you're still in. Let me know...

HB9:Lets do six ten

ME: Ok... it's at ****** the one right by campus.

HB9: Okay

(5minutes later)

HB9: Hey punk. Can we actually do it another time like Tuesday because I have to help my little sister with her birthday party that's tomorrow.

HB9: Is that cool love

ME: I have class all day Tuesday... but I wouldn't want to crash a Jonas Brothers themed party. lol

(I knew her little sister's party theme from when we discussed it one day at school)

HB9: Your welcome to ha ha ha the theme is changing.

ME: We could do the late movie on Tuesday after class I guess. Looks like there is one at 840.

(Our last last is together till 6:30)

HB9: Lets do that one

HB9: Fyi my ex is an ass

ME: That sucks... lol

HB9: Yeah I'm in a bad mood

ME: If that's the case then I'm surprised you haven't completely tuned him out of your life

ME: But I gotta run I'll catch you later

HB9: Why would you say that

(haven't texted her since)


So what is your evaluation of the scenario? Legitimate excuse? Shit test? How was my overall text game in this situation? Feedback would be excellent since I find this old PUA second guessing himself so much lately. Any suggestions would be great.

Seems like a pretty legitimate excuse man. She gave you is that cool love? Asking for your approval, while showing an IOI. You did good avoiding the whole relationship thing, the last thing you want to do with a girl is talk about her ex. You may have been better off leaving the "I'm suprised you havn't turned him out of your life complelty" but you played it fair. I'd text her previously before you go to the movies with some light teasing and showing you are fun. You don't want to give her the idea that you'd be upset with her talking to ur ex, but more as it's uninteresting. Otherwise looks good mate.
