Realistically, I think the only break-up situation you can still retain value in is the situation in which you do the dumping. If a girl breaks up with you, it shows that she considers herself more of a prize than you. However, if you break it off with her, it just further solidifies the "higher value" persona.
As a PUA, we should hold a standard of letting girls down easy, rather than becoming the monster women would percieve us to be, and that is a "heart-breaker".
Consider just sitting her down, and hashing through your worries and concerns with her. Then at the end let her know you've made up your mind, and although the time you spent together was remarkable, you must evolve, grow, and change your surroundings.

Making a girl break up with you is childish. If you are not feeling her any more, say it, but don't be a d*ck about it. This will definitely solidify the high status persona, but that is what you want.
