Posts: 124 | | So I number closed this girl the other day, and it turns out she's older, and has kids. (no big deal. I'm not looking for a relationship anyways) so I decide there's no reason not to practice, besides she seems cool. so I try to get a coffee date with her. She says yes, but she has to bring her kids. I didn't want to sound like an asshole and say "No they can't come!" so I said it was alright. I have no idea how to handle this.
I get myself into some weird situations. ha ha.

| | | this happened to me once, I seriously didn't know she had a kid till I told her where we were going to hang out and she asked if we could go see shrek 3 so she could bring her daughter, I got flakey as fuck and just kept her as an orbiter for when I needed social proof, and preselection

Posts: 124 | | How did you handle it? I need to be clear that I don't want anything, yet I don't want to be an asshole. I was thinking about just showing up, and be slightly boring. I think it would be totally obvious if I just up and cancel. Might be weird too since I see her once in a while. I don't want to be known as that asshole who stood her up. that wouldn't fly too well.

Posts: 79 | | so i say if you dont want to be an ass hole and you dont want to stand her up just go do the coffee thing with her kids, you dont have to make it long or anything then after that quit setting up day 2s i mean a girl cant really be offended if you just dont want to date her. that way when you run into her every once and awhile your still friends nothings happening between you so theres no awkardness.

Posts: 9 | | i wouldn't worry about the kids. If you dont want to have a real relationship with her then thats fine, but i'd still definitely see her to get some experience points under the ole belt.
