I would check sites like Karmaloop and Solis Company for just some general ideas (these two sites have very different styles but both have some good stuff). Just find a few brands that you like from sites like the ones I mentioned then go from there.

@ Nonchalance: the problem with dressing like that where I live is its pretty much white middle class, so dressing in sweaters and such isn't totally out of the ordinary.
Also, are bright colors good or bad? My usual style is grey's and black's from affliction and the like.
