I went out last night and i opened a two set pretty well (I can see myself getting better everyday ). I had their interest in me and everything was going well. Then i ran out of stuff to say. I know it sounds pathetic but i start thinking about it too much and lose it from there. Any help topics would be greatly appreciated.

Anything you know about and that arent mundain and borning. All you have to do is keep em interested. Talk about street racing, UFC fighting, or famous people you have met, things your friends and you have done. There are tons of topics you can use, but make sure they are interested in the topic. You dont want to bore them.

Steal other peoples' stories until you have ones of your own to tell.

Make sure your stories have DHV spikes -- it's no coincidence that stories that portray you as a social leader, a protector of women, an exciting spontaneous guy, etc... are going to be captivating to a set.

Me? I SCUBA dive so that is always good for stories. Tell them about the time you found a body in a shipwreck, ran out of air or found a purse that fell overboard. Easy stuff that not a lot of people do.

I was also in the Navy - great for stories but I HIGHLY suggest not bullshitting on that. Too many of us Vets that will stomp a mud hole in a poser's ass and feel VERY good about it.


Everyone learns routines, tricks, magic etc to appear to be more interesting - BE more interesting - take Scuba, skydiving or just do SOMETHING more interesting.

Was in the bar Sat - met a HB8 cousin of my bartender - she was giving me NOTHING until I heard her mutter a sentance under her breath in a foreign language (not spanish). Now I just happen to speak that language and responded. Blew her mind - she learned if from her roomate and now I WAS interesting. Got all kinds of IOI and lets just say the night ended very well.

Appearing interesting is ok as long as you also work on becoming interesting.

I would actually come up with some DHV stories of your own that you can use in situations like these.. A story that DHVs you should be interesting, maybe something about a relationship or something exciting adventurous you did. All the while it has to have DHV spikes.. This way your communication is going to work for you, it is accomplishing goals. your not only DHV ing by being an interesting story teller but your DHVing with facts about your self... They have to be configured to your life so sit down and think of a few and memorize them... Here is one of mine that works really well for me because I like intelligent, beautiful women and I screen for that.. Im going to give you this whole gambit so you can see how it works...

I use my "labret opener" Usually as a second stacked opener ill ask HB: what is your opinion of my labret.. Some will say that it is sexy some say their not really into piercings.. Im looking for either but its most fun when a girl says they don’t really like it because then I go into what I call my:
"Opinion personality make up" : And ill say "You know that’s really cool because you’re not trying to impress me and I like that.. It’s really cool how a little thing like an opinion actually is a soul factor in making up your personality. Together with your morals and your likes and dislikes of everything around you..Those things are like code for making up you! and that’s why its fun getting to know people.
Have you ever dated someone that you thought was really hot but when you got to know them they just were not that interesting? ( At this point the HB usually talks about one of their experiences) This is all set up for my DHV story but im actually DHVing already because im more interesting than 90% of the dudes she has talked to tonight. So here is

My DHV story.. : After she tells me her story I agree with it and relate. Then I start: " Before I moved down here I lived in Philly and worked in the fashion industry, I did some sales and some modeling for various brands,(DHV spike) but anyway I had just gotten out of a long-term relationship and I met this beautiful chic and as it turns out she was a cheerleader for the eagles ( DHV Spike) and blah blah, but we started dating, everything ws great we were really physically attracted to each other, but eventually I actually had to break up with her after a few months (DHV, im the selector) because she was not intellectual at all. She couldn’t keep an interesting, stimulating conversation, and that is so important! Don’t you think?"
You have to come up with your own, this works well for me because I play it super confident and when I DHV spike I kinda say it fast and like its no big deal. And besides its all based on truth but I made it sound a little better for my purposes.

From here I normally make her qualify herself to me then, if im in a good location ill CUBE her, then usually after that I can kiss close..

if you run out of things to say then you didnt do your job well. if you did do everything right, THEY should be talking more than you. but yeah you can always learn more routines and stuff, ask general questions (not to many to make it sound like an interview) and stuff like that. goodluck

thank you all for your great comments. I have sky dived before in ocean city so i could use that. Me and my bro had an almost head on collision on a fourwheeler and a dirtbike but i made the quick decision and managed to get out of the way enough that we didnt get seriously hurt. When it comes to DHV that is a problem become i have been a follower not a leader most of my life. No i am trying to change that but now i dont have any stories that i can think of.

Also remember when your building a stack to make sure it blends into a multi-thread conversation (From MM) so that once the story finishes, you aren't. Through in some opinion questions during your story, or have routines that relate to the "skeleton" of the story. It's really about branches and extending the amount of/and potential time (but remember the FTC's) you spend talking to them.

But overall as said, presentation means A LOT.

I agree with Methuselah's comment about delivery trumping content. I know people who could make a story about cleaning their underwear exciting. On the other hand, if you have no charisma or storytelling ability, then you are dead in the water. If you met Tom Cruise but all you say is "I met him and he was a cool guy," then you aren't going to get far. You need to develop good storytelling ability. (As for me, I lucked out in that department because most of my AFC years have been spent writing short stories, poems, screenplays, and even a novel or two.)

However, content is also somewhat important. Most of the famous people I have met aren't on the scale of a Tom Cruise or a Brad Pitt. I've met people like Thurston Moore and Kim gordon from Sonic Youth, Lou Barlow from Sebadoh, the lead singer from Jets to Brazil, a couple guys from a band called Ominous Seapods, and so on. As you can see, these aren't exactly the kind of "celebrity" names that make people "ooh" and "aah." However, I could easily tell the same story but with different names that the average person might recognize. ("Yeah, when the Smashing Pumpkins were touring I ran into Billy Corgan. He was slinking about the audience during the opening act.")

Small chat is only a stepping stone keep sharp and look for her reaction to certain topics you should get a good idea of what she wants to hear like if see keeps asking for details. Make the story a litttle vague this forces her (if she wants to know more) ask more qustions; now fill in the gaps and start bragging anding a personal attachment links you to her interest.

if all fails I say go for a past experince and spice it up so its bullshit then cover with i witty comment like 'I know your impressed I saw the way your eyes followed the story'
