I do both martial arts and climbing and love em both. Try em both at least and see if you like one more or don't like one.

boxing - you eat healthier, run a ton, learn to bob and weave, how to punch correctly
however if you want big muscles boxing isnt the sport for you..its actually better to have toned define muscles.
boxing has to be the overall most physical intense sport....i might be a bit bias, because i was training for a bit.

i can see how rock climbing could be better though

I've done both but always had a preference for boxing. Pros and cons?

PROS
- You get an athletically muscular body, not a bloated stiff one
- Fantastic cardio
- Your confidence will skyrocket around other men
- You get 'blooded' in sparring by facing your fears and competing against other men directly one on one
- Great skin cos you sweat out all the toxins every session
- You can't help moving with the alpha male 'boxers walk'

CONS
- You have to tread carefully in explaining it to the girls so you don't look like a thug
- Wear the safety gear and wrap your hands carefully. Boxing is very damaging to the body if you are reckless

If a girl shit tests me with something like "Do you enjoy hitting people?" I reply either "Do you like weak men?" or "What use is a man if he can't defend himself and his woman?"

But whatever you choose, both activities are good. As for "martial arts", well that depends entirely which one you pick and how you train. Something like Tae Kwon Do won't give you any of the benefits if you just stand in a hall throwing punches into the air for an hour.

Boxing.

People saying you will get a messed up face in boxing is completely wrong. The only way that will happen is if you go pro, which is highly unlikely.

Doing both isnt feasable because amature boxing takes up alot of time (over 2 hours daily average).

Boxing will give you a really tone body. My body fat has dropped to around 8% since I started boxing aout three years ago.

Boxing gives you a quiet confidence that rock climbibg doesnt. Its comforting knowing you can knock out an asshole amog if need be (fighting is dumb though).

I dont know crap about rock climbing, so I cant really comment that.

Can't say I have ever tried rock climbing but I can already see a disadvantage that you need a mountain to climb or nearby indoor rock climbing resort. Boxing is also without a shadow of doubt cheaper, some places even let you do it for free.
Boxing can be done pretty much anywhere, I train myself and my favorite thing to do on a nice day with a girl is take her to the park and teach her some moves on the focus pads. Not only is this a very cheap date but she will get hot and sweaty so you can offer her a shower at your house which is only 5 minutes away
But like anything else don't do it to pickup chicks, do it for yourself the physical and mental conditioning you get from boxing or any martial art for that matter is priceless. There is something about being able to handle yourself that gives you an aurora of confidence, you don't have to be Muhammad Ali to get this either.
Honestly give it a try, you won't regret it.

^ this.
muay thai is different.
its a perfect workout of the whole body, builds good workout habits and confidence (more efficient than boxing). it also sounds exotic when you mention it to people.

I would go with rock climbing. You will get in shape without getting your face busted in. There's a greater chance of meeting a girl while doing it as well...

That's my two cents...
