I've been aware of PU for a long time, and have used a lot of mid-game routines to boost my virtually non-existent natural game. This has got me more action than normal.

However, I seem to have this problem with using opinion-openers that has been around since the beginning of my sarging attempts: I get called out. 50% of the time I use a canned opener, the girl mentions pick-up. This could be b/c I suck at PU,or it could be b/c I live in Austin, and everyone knows about PU, given the first season of The PUA was filmed at all of the places I sarge.

Regardless, it's at least 50% of the time. A remaining 40% of the time, I get ignored, or get the girls to roll their eyes at me. 10% of the time it works but I still fuck it up in the long run.

I really want some opinions (oh, the irony!) from you guys on the best direct way to open. I have good body language, above average style, good eye contact, and I'm not bad looking.

There are so many contradictory thoughts on opening, I don't know if I'm shooting myself in the foot by complimenting her looks (too AFC), or saying hi and telling her my name (TMI, DLV). Either way I hate using canned opinion openers, and would like some new ideas.

I have never really used canned openers, except for a few occasions when I tried mystery openers just for fun.
However, in my personal experience I don't think oppinion openers are very efficient.
Lately I have improved a lot on my frame and body language etc and now I find the most effective opener is to casually approach the set and just, "Hey guys(/girls/ladies/whatever) Whats up?"
It works great when you do it with a lot of confidence, and usually thats all I need to say to break the ice and after that the conversation is on!

Go read up some of Mehow stuff, he has a mix between canned and direct opener.
One of his openers would be (which I often use): "HELLLO!!! You guys seem fun....You guys are the funnest girls I have met....ok in like the last 30 seconds....FTC -> go to attraction

Thanks for the advice. Sarged for the first time in a while last night, made a lot of excuses for my AA.

I think I've found a happy medium, gonna try to approach and give her a fashion tip. I'm sure they won't accuse me of being a PUA like that. If I puss out on that, I'll definitely revert to a hybrid of what y'all have suggested, I like them both!

PUA: ( Passing the girl/ girls, stop, walk to the girl and correct something she wears and say:" Now your a superstar" )
HB: ?! ouh, well, tha...
PUA: Hey, you look kind of familiar ( suprised )! What was the tv show that was going on the CNN channel... something about decorateing.. OH! Now i remember, there was these 3 gay guys who decorated straight guys houses and outfits !?
HB: heh, you have the worng person
PUA: Well thats too bad. By the way, my name is johnny.
