Like the title says, this was my first time actually going in field and testing out everything I learned. I went out eating with my family at a restaraunt located in a mall, and after eating my family split up to check out stores.

While I was heading to the book store, I happened to glance into this candy shop, and I see this crazy beutiful HB9 hired gun just sitting there looking bored, so I applied the 3 second rule and went in.

Since the store was empty and she was by herself, I took the time to look around at all the different kinds of candy they have, and paid attention to the ones that they did not have. I make a comment to the HB saying "My god, you really seem to have your hands full with all these people eh?" she smiles at me and says that she is so bored, so I took it as a IOI and began the conversation.


I asked if they had some different kinds of candy, knowing full well that they dont. Every time she told me she didnt have the candy, I would tell her how she is ruining my day\life\everything. After teasing her, I start asking her about the stores in the mall, and if she ever goes to them, and she says no. I tell her about a laser tag place that used to be near a book store that got turned into a salon, and she tells me how she was mad that the book store was gone because she loves books. Her saying she loved books made me love her even more, so I asked her what she likes to read, and she tells me she loves reading about ancient rome and mythology and such, which raised my interest in her by a million. I ask her questions about her favorite gods, teasing her all along the way, and then my dad then enters the store, which makes me nervous, so I tense up and ask her if I could have her number before I go, because I would love talking about chocolate, gods, and bacon with her. She writes down her name and number, and I feel completely awesome. I exit the store with a fat woody.

So how do you fellas think I did? Comments and Criticism? Should I call her the next day, and when I do call, I know to use FTC, but not sure what else to do.

hello my friend let me start off by introducing myself my name is Iden Cross. I would also like to take a minute to say how proud i am to see that you had the courage to go up to the girl. I know from experience it is never easy so i can respect you for having the courage. Now its time for the answers you want, i felt like your performance was mediocre. You talked about candy using situational things and then started building rapport i didn't hear anything in your post about stories and kino it seems like you built the comfort but not the attraction. Keep in mind next time to be able to multiple thread, have many stories in which you can dhv yourself and increase the kino even though shes a hired gun shes still a girl and kino needs to be applied. Now I don't want to discourage you, im proud of you for getting this girls number and you should feel proud as well. As for where to go from there i usually text her that day but the main goal for you now is start planning a day 2 and get her away from that candy store. I suggest you search up mystery because his thoughts and tips on day 2's are brilliant and dam entertaining. Once again congrats hope all goes well and let me know how things go.

Good job. Contrary to the guy above, I think you might have genereated some genuine attraction with the teasing. Now you didn't talk about kino, so I assume there was none. If you get a day 2, this has to be your prime objective. Escalate kino. Now how to follow up? Have something interesting planned for yourself and invite her along. I can't stress the 'invite her ALONG' part enough. Don't ask her to come hand out or fall in her plans (unless they are interesting to you). Chit chat or text a bit then go "Hey, I'm going to the museum to see the new exibit on Friday want to come? Unless you are too busy not selling candy that is :P" Or whatever.

Thanks for all the responses, they really helped. And you were both correct in saying there was no kino. She was behind a counter, and I felt pretty awkward standing there, and I didnt want to increase the awkwardness by trying to place my hand on her.

It doesn't have to be you placing a hand on her. High 5, thumb war... there are many casual ways to initiate kino that are not socially ackward.
