We all know direct openers where you go up and complement on hair, dress, etc. As long as you mean it, its actually pretty effective. However, after you do it and the girl says thank you. what do you transition to? Personally, I don't know anything about hairstyles, dresses, make-up, w/e... any idea..

It is physically impossible at this point for me to pay a girl a direct compliment. It's been so programmed into me that there's only one way: indirect.

Try out Ross Jeffries' IMPLIED compliment.

"Who's the girl wrapped in all the gorgeous?"

It's an implied compliment AND a question, that starts a profound conversation.

I always assumes a direct opener was stating what you wanted..
Example:
Hey I saw you siting here and didn't want to regret not coming over a saying something to you later.

Or
Is it too forward of me to tell you that you are stunning and ask for your phone number.

I never open like that so maybe I assumed wrong.

i like ross's implied compliment, all though i wouldnt really use it as a opener. i would use it more as a intro into the seduction phase.

I don't know what your style is when it comes to PUA, but I say move to chit chat. Talk about anything really. For me I very much into C&F so anything I say afterwards is more than likely going to be some smart ass remark and I will take it from there.

Direct opener is exactly that a direct opener. It can be saying something you want to the op giving a girl a compliment. The point is that what ever you say is direct and to the point as you are not going around the bush but thru it.

I dont like direct openers when they are about complimenting the target like " hey, nice dress" instead i use it like this way: " hey, sweet dress. My mother has one! "
When you just go to say that" she has a nice dress", its pretty much beeing a one grey person among the others in the club, nothing exciting, nothing special, nothing contradictory but when you add a little negg like the " my mother has one " its shocks your target out of comfort zone, she is confused few seconds about what you said, it developes converstation and MOST OF ALL YOU AINT PUTTING HER ON A PEDESTAL...

Im not saying what you do is wrong or aint the right way. The way you play it can work but this is how i would play it when useing direct openers.

I don't buy into the nonsense that a girl gets complimented 80,000 times a day.

As a matter of a fact, compliments are probably so rare these days that you would be the distinctive guy by complimenting her.

Direct openers work. Period.

As for transition, I remember a fellow poster posting that he does a sort of pull after the major push.

PUA: Hey saw you across the street and though you looked dazzling would be kicking myslef all day if I didn't come to say hi.
Her: Laugh/Giggle/Hi
PUA:* Looking more serious and pulling away slightly * So, who are you?

The girl gets no compliment from me until A3 ; and if she does get something at 1st it will be a neg
You : Omg i love you're hair if it was shorter you'd look much more presentable
