I pulled of this opener the otherday and was very successful with it, it's kind of DLV but it's ironic so I think you can make it work.
What I want to know is, have you made DLV stuff work for you or is it a rare thing that should be avoided?

I'm wearing a very nice CK sweater and I'm talking to her friend, HB8 shows up and touches my sweater and says "oh thats soo nice"

I say "hands off sugar, thats one dollar per second of touch for you!"

She laughed and that was the conversation starter, I got her number before I left.

I'd go for both. Delivered as a cocky joke, it doesnt directly DLV you.
And hey, who said it was DLV to have sex with girls? You don't have to be needy in order to say that you want to have sex. Nor desperate.

There is a fine line between being desperate and wanting to have much sex. Remember that. The main difference is that the latter one want to have sex with ANYONE.

Also, if you do not give her any sexual indicators after that statement, you do not seem to be desperate. You're just having a good time, joking around.

I understand your concern. This kind of jokes, while not consciously being DLV, it could, unconsciously be a DLV. No matter how much i rationalize. This is my opinion.
