I broke down in tears on my girl friends shoulder lastnight. She was really loving and caring and cheered me up, but I still can't help but feel like a pussy. It happened after my older brother repeatedly belittled me infront of my other room mates and friends. No one else saw me cry. It's really hard to take such insults from your older brother even weh you know they result from his own insecurities. My girlfriend understood this and after she repeatly probed me to express my feelings I began to cry. we've been dating 10 months

Thoughts?

anyone had this happen?

What should I do now

I think its a good thing to show you are comfortable with your emotions around her. It increases your bond together and also shows that you trust her to listen and as well shows that she is there to hear what you say and be there for you.

Naw crying isnt bad home boy...as men we are taught not to cry but once and a while its ok. I hadnt cried in about 10 years before I met my girl but since then I have cried in front of her a few times. If you cry all the time then that might mean you really are a pussy haha but if it only happens from time to time then dont worry about it.

I really dont give a shit anymore wtf people think about me...that the mind set you have to have. I know Im a man and I dont think crying makes my gf beleve any diffrent because when she needs somone to run to Il be there.

Mate never feel ashamed to cry!...its actually great every so often for a girl to feel that she can help you...Remember that you should be the rock in the relationship but every so often even the rock needs to let loose...

Key point--- Dont make it an all time habit, if your older brother belittles you like this then control the environment ie dont be around your older brother when he is gonna do this, and definately not when your gf is also there. If your brother throws enough mud it will stick...dont be there when he throws mud
