Anyone do this? Is waxing really as painful as I'm left to believe. Is the regrowth really itchy? How long will you stay bare for after shaving/waxing? I'm very hairy but, thanks to a lot of hard work in the gym lately, I now have a pretty good body. Feel like I could work it better without so much hair.... Opinions or ideas?

Also, for people that already know me/have seen my body hair (a lot of people, due especially to locker rooms etc), will this come across as a DLV?

nah man, dont shave... the hair just grows back quicker and faster if you do!! get yourself some hair removal cream, and use that. you just put this cream on and leave it for like 3 mins, and then jump in the shower, and when you wipe the cream off, the hair comes off too!!
it doesn't have an itchy re-growth either, and it takes a bit longer for it to re-grow.

The hair does not grow back quicker, faster, or denser for that matter. It makes no logical sense for it to do so! Does the hair "know" it has been cut? EVEN if it did, why would it grow back quicker anyway?

First of all, hair is just a bunch of dead cells so it has no idea what's going on. Don't be afraid to shave if that's your choice.

buy an electric razor (i.e. philips norelco bodygroomer) and shave it off yourself.

the amount of dumb questions on this forum astound me.

oh and don't say - "thanks to a lot of hard work in the gym lately, I now have a pretty good body" - because you aren't going to fool us. Good work on the confidence though, but seriously, save it for the women.

What makes you think I'd like to 'fool' you? Is there a problem with being happy with my body after working on it? Pshh! :P

Waxing doesnt hurt. Just don't do it yourself.

I recommend Nair for Men. They have a few different variations. Spray or spread it on and wait a few minutes then take a shower or wipe it off with a wet rag.

Be careful with Nair. Some people have allergic reactions.
My recommendation is to pick up the norelco bodygroom. (www.shaveeverywhere.com)

Its just an old wive's tale that it grows back thicker.

I have a goatee trimmer that I use. Seems to do the trick.

The norelco bodyshave is amazing. for 40$ it can't be beat by anything as far as I'm concerned. (I swear I don't work for them. )

There is also a back shaver known as the man groomer (can get at bed/bath and beyond) that works decently.. long handle to reach the whole back.. then just go over it with a dry razor after that and its nice and smooth.

Shaving the chest hair however only seems to last for a day or so.. you will tire of the upkeep quickly.
