Ok so I was hanging out with this HB8.5 I met at a party...and we really hit it off. We talked for a while, some kino was going on, and I was in control. There was definitely a strong connection...I couldn't get her to stop talking to me. So after a while, she says she has to get going because her friends want to. So as she is getting ready to go, I do my usual routine # close....which I am not exaggerating...has ALWAYS worked. Since I was 14 I can say with all certainty that I have never once been denied a phone number(I am pretty picky with PUs and dont just hook up with anyone). So right after I ask her for her number, she blushes, and all she says is "I can't do that right now. But I'll see you round." and then she left.

Was this a shit test? My ego is slightly bruised...I have never been denied a number...

What do I say to her next time I see her to prevent awkwardness?

keep in mind the convo was good, she was saying that I need to party with her, and she wants to see my house...then denied me something as basic as a friken number???

there's nothing to say to her when you do see her. No point. If you end up asking about that number rejection, then you're just coming off needy, and desperate for her number.

Just a curious thought, but what and how did you ask for her number? Maybe, that's even the problem, asking for her number. There could be a lot factors involved with this, so please elaborate on how exactly you asked? It'll be easier to give advice, and pin point what was the mistake.

Damn that sucks, but it would suck more if you got her number and then she never responded to your calls or texts.

you did mention that you guys had a long conversation, but there's also a chance that you didn't get enough rapport from her. She probably not that comfortable to give out her number with you yet, but it's okay, brush it off and get other girls..
