So you're on FB, you see some cute girls online whom you don't know at all. You don't know how you became FB friends with them either, but you are glad because they're hot.

They might even live close to your area so you can actually meet up with them. You wanna talk to them on FB chat but you don't know how to start or where to go with the conversation.

I'd say just act chill and be funny. Don't come off as a creepist and don't keep asking her to hang out. Being a facebook message/ wall post, you'll gain comfort if you keep at it but make sure you add some push/ pull and some teasing so you don't get into the friend zone.

Tell her your going to a nearby coffee house or whatever and ask if she wants to tag along.
