Man...I feel like such a tool posting for help and asking for help. But I feel that's what the community is for.

Backstory - So I've been gaming this girl for a while. Last time we hung out we went to a dance class (lots of kino). Basically I'm getting all the IOI's and I know I need to make a move or end up in the friend zone.

My routine - So it's a variation of things I've read. I'm going to tell her while I was in europe I learned this great relaxation technique. I'll grab her hands and squeeze them....if she doesn't squeeze back I'll tell her the exercise requires her to match my actions.

So then we'll try again. Then I'll tell her to close her eyes and I'll move in for a peck...and tell her to peck me back. I'll say good but she doesn't seem relaxed enough....boom.

Also - I've read alot about sexual tension after the first kiss. For example don't just make out. Should I use this as an opportunity to escalate (my gut says yes...)

My question - Does it make sense to start the night off of with a kiss. I've read that girls don't hate a surprise kiss as long as it's from a dude she sees herself with. Or does it make more sense after the concert to go back to my place or a park and run the routine.

Or is it their a better way. Obviously I'm thinking too much about this but I know we've all been there.

There really isn't a downside...she either likes me or she doesn't. Obviously this is the information I want to know.

So here is how it went down.

We met up at a friends bbq. After wards we both still wanted to hang out so I say let me give you a tour of this part of town. We go by my high school (graduated 10 years ago...) then say I'm gonna show you one more thing before we call it a night.

i take her to a lake...its a lake in an office complex. I know it will be deserted, so we walk around and end up hanging out on a pier/uncovered gazebo type contraption. I show her some buildings, we look at the stars and the moon. In the mean time I'm escalating the kino...cold hands on the back (this is playful move that always works...). Holding hands, sharing pockets, hugging, etc.

Obviously I had a few opportunities to make a move but before I do a truck roles by. She is worried it's a rent-a-cop, murderer,etc...I play it cool (or at least think I do). I know it isn't a cop and am guessing its some kids down there to do drugs...we scope it out and head to her car. Its a bunch of idiots about to go fishing at midnight.

We drive back to pick up my car (it was left at the bbq). At this point we have parked and I start up some routine about it being cold again. I say my nose is cold and ask her if nose is cold. At this point I go in for what could be called an Indian Kiss. I feel her go back...almost like I startled her.

So we debate some more on the coldness of body parts and how to determine it. I say nose to nose is the best, she says hand to nose. At one point I look her dead in the eyes and say, "You are making this more difficult then it has to be. If you let me kiss you I'll get out of the car." Her response (from what I could tell) was a sort of embarrassed look - like how could you say that, you don't tell a girl you are about to kiss her it's not appropriate. It wasn't a that is an AFC thing to do though....

I go in for my kiss, she closes her eyes...the first one is weak. I say, "Give me a real kiss." We kiss a few more times (only pecks...middle school I know) before I say good bye.

She follows me out of the neighborhood before heading onto her house.

What I learned - It's true what Style says. Everything you liked as a kid works. In this case just goofing around, looking at stars, etc. KISS - Keep it Simple Stupid.

Stay on your grind - it works.

I loved it when you told her, "You are making this more difficult then it has to be. If you let me kiss you I'll get out of the car." Priceless. But perhaps too intimidating? After all, she did let you kiss her, but by the sounds of it, she seemed kind of awkward after. You'll have to let us know if she calls you back or not.
