I don't think talking on the phone is necessary. If it were a date, I guess yeah, but it's just a party. Maybe send her a fun text day of the party so she starts thinking about you before the actual event.

She may not be romantically interested in you though. She's just inviting you to her party. When you get there you have to become the life of the party and make sure you become the guy everyone wants to talk to.
