Well, if you've got the friendly chitchat down then that's a start. I wouldn't dwell on that for long. I used to work at a movie theater. Same idea I suppose. When one of my co-workers caught my eye, I would instead just start flirting with them. Dropping C&F every chance I got, making myself sound like I was qualifying her. If she started hitting me, or hitting on me, I took it as a good sign. I stopped having normal conversations and instead just flirted non-stop if it was reciprocated. Actually, if they start teasing you back, you have some interest in their eyes. Since you're already on friendly terms, you can actually get a phone number and move to text-game quite easily.
You have serious advantages here. You don't really have to worry about opening and you can make up ANY excuse to come talk to them. I also found plenty of time to isolate in these workplaces as well. However, I have to tell you now that dating people you work with can end in disaster. It's great, unless you break up terribly...
I do however envy your position here. Make good use of it.
